Glad I stayed up to watch the games tonight. Definitely one of the more entertaining set of games played for quite some time in the GSL. Can't wait for the NesTea vs Mvp match....

Can I please have that Who has the best ZvT poll initiated again please? So I can vote NesTea again. Thanks

Virus is not in even in the same galaxy as Supernova skill wise.

Yes, with Supernova's 40% TvZ win rate..... Come on, Supernova played well, so did Virus, both played much better then expected.

Anyway, I find it interesting that DRG's BoX vT results are pretty weak compared to his Bo1(GSTL/Group) results...

TBH I think DRG choked, especially game 3. Why didn't he make heaps of banelings when he saw SuperNova was going mass marines with his mutas?

Since when was Supernova a top Terran?

DRG isn't as good as people say he is. Simple as that.

Where did I wrote that Supernova is a top Terran? He isn't.

The point is that for mediocre code S players (ie - better than all foreigners), Terrans can beat the good but not great players pretty much consistently.

DRG isn't as good as some people want to say ... he is only the 2nd best ZvT in the world, and likely the second best Zerg in the world though. Some people have hyped him beyond that, which I don't think is fair.

Hell anyone in code S can beat every other person. If Bomber can lose to Keen and MVP can lose to Byun, nestea lose to ensnare and san or mc lose to hongunprime, it pretty much shows how close the gameplay level is in code S.

It'll be MVP v. winner of Ganzi/Supernova.

MVP is playing just too good atm, and just outplays him everytime they meet.

We will also see another TvTvTvT final 4 again btw. GG GomTvT

I hear they're thinking about changing the name of the highest league to Code T.

For once I would have really loved for DRG to just make roaches and go kill him on crossfire.
But supernova has well studied his muta style, he build turret everywhere and turtled hard.

Maybe lacking in the descision-making and strategy department against code s terrans, which he is inexperienced. You gotta admit DRG has without a doubt the best zerg mechanics, multitasking and unit control in the world. You never see an idle unit for DRG, he is always mobile, playing to zerg strengths. :D

I'm a little surprised people are already determining that Nestea is gonna lose to MVP. I can't view the stream, but from the LR reports, Nestea played well, and I'm aware of his record vs MVP and his recent games in ZvT atm. I don't think it's appropriate to call Nestea's match against MVP a great match cause Nestea might possibly win. There is a reasonable chance that Nestea takes it considering his varying play styles.

I've rarely seen a more well deserved victory in SC2 than the one Supernova got today, he was easily the better player overall. He might have played above the level he normally plays on, but that's irrelevant here.

Oh and as a side note, I think I've finally decided I don't like maps with remote gold bases unless there are destructible rocks making it difficult to get to them. Metalopolis has great gold base placing where you know instantly if your opponent takes it, and it's easy to punish them if they take it early because you don't leave your own base exposed by attacking it. Gaining an economic advantage through hiding a base that more than pays for the investment before it can be punished just seems really lame to me in a competitive game.

It's a problem compounded by the Terran lift off mechanic because early game you're not going to be able to kill it and the base will just relocate. This is coming from a Terran player, so I'm not being biased or whining about imbalance either.
