Mana has also had a good run lately. Hero as well. If you don't play in GSL you aren't worth mentioning in the best of anything. Mana and White Ra are not even close to Code S level. Hero is playing in Code A for the first time this season and has no results about Koreans. you are an idiot so shut up pls. White-ra is code S level if not better than some in code S right now and for Mana he is the best Mouz player that mean he is even better than Thorzain who is considered by many is code S quality Massive lol at White Ra being Code S level. He's not even Code B level. Mana's on a streak. He has no significant tournament wins though and if you're not in Korea you are nothing because you're not proving yourself against the best. 95% of the top 100 Sc2 players are Korean, if you're not playing those guys you're not worth discussing in terms of who is the best at anything. Puma 5-2, Nada 2-0, Thorzain 3-0 Sup son? I'm pretty sure Mana is in the run for best PvT People tend to forget very easily. White-Ra could win the GSL if he really wanted to. He is the best foreign player in terms of money winnings and he is the only SC2 player up to date to have beaten a TBLS member in their prime. Sure, Nada, Boxer, MVP, July have wins against TBLS, but as far as I remember, only White-Ra has won agains a TBLS when he was dominating. WCG 2007, which was between MSL final against Bisu and OSL silver. With proper preparation, I'm sure he could dominate hardcore. But he is a Khan toss kind of player, he can win against anyone, can lose against anyone. I think this is probably a joke. White Ra isn't even in the top three foreign Protoss right now, nevermind Code S level. To be fair, top 3 foreign Protoss is almost top 3 Protoss in the world at this point (Huk, Sase, Mana and maybe Nani) Really? I'd still say MC is one of the best in the world (he did 3-0 Mana recently and even Mana stated that MC is the best protoss in an interview) and then there's Puzzle, JYP, HongUn, Genius, and Hero. Of course, there's really no objective way to compare the protosses since they don't really compete in the same leagues, but it's really nonsensical to say that the foreign protoss are top 3 over Korean protoss. If you think about it from a results perspective while taking into consideration that people can't compete in every tournament, it'll be HongUn who's the best. I would have agreed, but honestly after watching MC's up and down play and then these games today... I'm really wondering what is going on with him. His micro was very poor, his decision-making was questionable, and he made tons of mistakes all over the place (forgot a zealot block TWICE, costing him the game). He really did deserve Code B.
I think his confidence is completely shattered for important games. He's returned to the Pre-Season 3 MC . All the traveling made him fall back very far compared to the other top-players but he didn't want to take it easy and chose himself killer groups anyway which lead to him losing games and ultimately his confidence . Protoss isn't very strong right now but he's making tons of mistakes as well , its not like he went to Up/Downs , Code A and now Code B on total imbalance. He should've won today there's no excuse Monster shouldn't have been too much of a hurdle even if Zerg is stronger then Protoss.

Maybe I'm just a jerk.
I'm a Zerg and for a while it was nice to get some payback for all the Toss abuse but right now it's starting to get pretty sad

Well at least MC can still fix this by winning MLG so hes not out of it all yet.

Huk won Dreamhack and Homestory sure but that was three months ago. These days he loses to all sorts of random foreigners and stays in Code S on the virtue of always picking really easy groups every season then losing to the first good player he meets. Puzzle has won nothing at all and looks very middle of the road. Hongun is always a laugh but he's so gimmicky and wins games mostly of the back of being unpredictable. Genius is plain bad, he survived in Code S last season by Void Ray cheesing every game. Naniwa has no results in months and months. Tassadar, JYP and others are still messing about in Code A. MC at least made the NASL and IEM finals even if it was by beating foreigners. There's just no good Protoss players right now. If you were to list to current best 20 players in Sc2 right now I wouldn't choose a single Protoss. White-Ra am cry. Mana has also had a good run lately. Hero as well. If you don't play in GSL you aren't worth mentioning in the best of anything. Mana and White Ra are not even close to Code S level. Hero is playing in Code A for the first time this season and has no results about Koreans. I strongly disagree.

People who call any SC2 players "foreigners" are stupid. :p Korea is an important location in the SC2 world, but it's not the only one. It's different from BW, so we shouldn't use outdated terminology (imo). But it's a hard to break habit (especially because most of the popular commentators come from BW, keep using it and thus "teach" it to newcomers) so it keeps being used and accepted in the community despite my best efforts *sigh*. Pretty sure Dirk Nowitzki is considered a foreigner in Basketball. And until Europe starts consistently beating the US in Basketball I'd say it's safe to say so. Substitute Korea for US, and Starcraft for Basketball Thanks for proving my point.
US players playing in the German Basketball Bundesliga are called foreigners by us Germans here. It's all a matter of perspective in other sports because there are professional scenes throughout the world and in many countries.
Not so with BW (deservedly so) and SC2 (undeservedly so, a holdout from the BW days that should vanish).

He has been slumping for a bit and the field in Orlando will arguably be stronger than at Columbus - his group is tougher for certain.

I'm going to wait for Sage to play before giving up all hope, he's obviously extremely intelligent lets see what he can think up. If there's one hope for a revolution its this guy. SaSe is also probably going to do well , but he is not the kind of player to think up something no-one else has, more the kind who just practices more and wants it more and wins through precision and refinement.

Pros:-Select defeats Alicia! -SjowTime beats MakaPrimeTime -sC is fucking back! -JyP, last hope of Aiur! Cons:-Mc loses to Monster!
Today was an absolutely insane day. The worst thing here is your whining!

Sjow beat maka...unbelievable to say the least. Select beat Alicia, selects best matchup is tvp by far AWESOME tvp to say the least, alicia was touted as a MONSTER toss a couple months ago, now him and MC are in code b. JYP is impressive but he is no GSL champion. sC is back, but just what we need more terrans ( and no boxer or yellow =D ). Depressing day as a protoss player seeing legends fall to unheard of players. Really saddening =[

Honestly if he can make it out of that group he will deserve code S.

Bomber said that Sjow has Code S level TvT, so I wasn't really surprised. The biggest achievement here is probably getting over first time jitters playing in the GSL.

That's what happens when you're a cocky bastard and you pick the arguable best player in the world to be in your group. honestly I was hoping either protoss would have a strong showing since a few seasons ago and seeing as that's not happening I'm hoping protoss lose everything and drop as much as possible so blizzard is forced to do something..
|
after 1 year of hurdles the zerg race is finally able to take on the protoss, 20 terrans about 7 zergs and about 5 protoss in code S i believe.... for blizzard that means....nerf the zerg. ? wtf ? Im so sad for mc, he is a cool ballsy dude. But with the amount of money hes made, he has an excuse for his bad play. Im sure when the money starts running low he will come back and start owning !!

So say he got 5th place, and the players above him are Bomber, DRG, Huk, MKP, even tho all the ones above him are already Code S, since he didn't get top 3, the Code S spot will go to nobody.
