LOL so ignorant. TvP is a ridiculously hard matchup right now. The only build with mild success is 1-1-1 and its not too difficult for toss to stop if they scout whatsoever. Not really surprised to see him losing to naniwa.

What?? Exactly what cave have you been hiding in for the last couple of months?

TvP in korea is like 65% win rate for Terran. 1-1-1 crushed the matchup and cannot be countered easily even when scouted. In the midgame, most good terrans will snipe key tech structures with marauder drops and then proceed to EMP protoss army to death. It is only in the lategame when TvP looks better.

Your post makes absolutely no sense and just goes to show that the majority of people here just regurgitate the same "facts" over and over again. Link some confirmation on the 65% win rate? 1-1-1 doesn't get you ghosts or emp or drops. Maybe a single medivac.

Actually you should probably get your eyes checked, he said 'MIDGAME' and the 65% win rate was posted on the graphs posted a few weeks ago in a thread on the KR server

Oh, the irony.

Surprised you actually replied, making yourself look like an idiot and all

Again, nice insightful and informative post. I really hope an admin takes note of this.

didnt you ever watch tvp?
vikings are the counter to colossi, ghosts to templar.
there were no templars at all, ghosts are very bad vs colossi

Would make more sense to do a hidden 2 rax in that case. Naniwa's build is essentially the blind counter to 1/1/1.

And when I say blind counter, I mean about a 50% chance to pull through.

Sick mind games incoming.

Nani knows Rain loves ghost pushes
Rain knows Nani knows that he loves ghost pushes.
Rain hasn't done a ghost push yet, there's one game left.

Does he go to it, or does he do something else knowing that Nani probably expects it.

Oh god... I'm gonna stop derailing this thread after this post, of course 1-1-1 doesn't get you drops or emp or ghosts, it's what happens in the midgame when terran DOESN'T 1-1-1.

When they do a perfect 1-1-1 between 2 equally skilled players, they win most of the time. If they don't do so right away, the second wave usually ends the game.

http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=252090

TLPD Stats, go to the Korea graph, it's 38% P, 62% T. I think in aug the gap is a little smaller but still......

OK, that said, I'm not discussing PvT in this thread anymore

That is interesting but not very valid anymore. That post is over a month old and was written based on information that is even older. As I said, don't just regurgitate other people's words. If you watch any terran streamer on TL youd see they are all having massive difficulty vs. toss.

The problem is that you should be complaining to the stream provider if you are lagging rather than in this thread...

that is some bizarre commentating. Glad to know Apollo knows Naniwa well enough to let the world know that he doesn't accept other cultures as well as Thorzain.

Thorzain was in Slayers house for, what, a week? Apollo is basically quite uninformed about the situation, how these players practice and so forth, but feels it necessary to speculate regardless

He was for a couple of weeks, got on with Ace and Squirtle alright iirc. ST thought he was staying short term due to a mix up with GOM, he's been at the GOM house the last couple of weeks, and I believe is going to stay with MVP after this event.

He was in code S from the start, until he left it through choice, thats pretty impressive. And he's managed to compete with the MLG Korean invites, despite living in New York for the last couple of months. What other 'foreigner' can claim that?

Rain was perhaps not "special", but he was always in the top, competing in Code S which, quite honestly, surpasses any and all of Naniwa's past achievements.

Too bad achievements don't dictate who's the better player now.

And let's be honest, Starcraft 2 as a whole was awful when Rain was in the top. Only NesTea and Jinro played in a way that makes any sense (and Idra I guess).

Rain voluntarily gave up his Code S in July. I guess Starcraft was awful two months ago.
