On September 14 2011 08:31 ODieN wrote: IdrA going ultralisks? haha, just toying with Destiny.. ultra if you can actually secure your 4th/5th base vs destiny harassment is basically perfect vs. destinys heavy infestor style. hardly toying.. the problem with rushing to ultra vs destiny is that he will hold the first attack and you lost all your drones at the 3rd making a resup on ultra/high tier units impossible so he just steams you with roach/infestor. | ||

This isn't a toy around build its a build he thinks is good which I think it can be to. But it wasn't built to "toy" with destiny I can tell you that ^^. | ||

At least it was cool for me. I might very well be wrong, but it seems to me like Idra quite often gets stuck on a very linear or dead end tech path. I mean, Destiny made it easy by never being able to apply any pressure or even any real scouting, but Idra's play looked quite fluid and he went between tech paths quite a lot. And seeing Ultralisks just warms the heart in general. Seeing them win even more so after having witnessed the mass Ultra slaughtering in IMMvp v ST.July. | ||

Seems like the mutas generate a nice safe window to reach ultras, and once you have enough of those with so much armor and the right supporting units there is not much that lair tech can do against them. | ||
