SC2 is so volatile, Terrans and Zergs are not able to be consistent either. Nestea fell to up and downs, MVP fell to code A as well, remember?

Why not take the middle with blink stalkers/cannon? 3. Why the hell did u make pure zealots vs roach/hydra? You dont want to micro?.... 4. Why make stargate units and not deny the third from going up? Theres no creep to third yet when he was harrassing with phoenixes. Whats the point of making phoenix if u dont want to control anything?....... If MC keeps this up, he should go back to code A and grind his way back up which would actually benefit him more as a progamer. If you are fan of MC, I think code A is better for him now. 1. He had Phoenix, he couldn't afford Stalkers because of the quick transition from air to Colossus, which was bad. 2. As stated, no money for dem Stalkers. 3. As stated, no money for dem Stalkers. 4. He had enough Phoenix to be annoying as hell to those queens, I dunno why he didn't send the Void Ray there. Taking a position with cannons isn't something viable though.

We have a few "standard safe builds", but even then, it gets read easily without even scouting, correct if im wrong but losira took a third without even scouting the lower pylon, I could be wrong. Personally I think a lot of the problems is protoss doesn't have the ability that we know of doing safe aggression except with these stargate builds. Zerg can explode with units and terran can hide behind bunkers, use hellions and banshees. Protoss can't do mobile aggression and if you lose a few stalkers, zealots, and especially a voidray without doing considerable damage, you become very far behind in comparison to the zerg that throws away a few speedlings or the terran that throws away a few hellions.

Or was he supposed to turtle to 200/200 on two base while Losira takes the map and goes broodlord/corruptor? Well, I'm not a Protoss player, I'm a Zerg, so I'm just thinking out loud and trying to see how a Protoss player may think of this situation. One thing is clear: two base Protoss timings are obsolete against Zerg now. I'm just wondering if there's maybe a really safe (cannon heavy?) style that can secure a third and max out reasonably quickly.

Zergs have the standard two-base Protoss builds figured out to the point that an early third hatch is now standard. You're just not going to hurt a Zerg with any two base attack when he's on three bases. It doesnt work. Late game Zerg army beats Toss easy if the Zerg is on more bases... almost nothing you can do vs Infestor/Broodlord... + whatever with instant remax.

Then I guess it would go to the next most accomplished protoss + Show Spoiler + HongUn MCs "ass" has been off the throne since he lost to Alicia (05-27 Super Tournament). I've gotten flamed relentlessly for saying that and i'm glad to see it being more undeniable now ![]()
