Anyone have a reason why Protosses don't just turtle to 200/200 against Zerg? Zergs have the standard two-base Protoss builds figured out to the point that an early third hatch is now standard. You're just not going to hurt a Zerg with any two base attack when he's on three bases.

more like MVP stopped practicing so hard after taking his first championship and then steadily bounced back.

MC's just been on a pretty steady decline for a while (arguably since he met his gf).

The sad part is that map was the most favorable for MC, at 57% win rate for zerg. Since the next two he plays on have 100% and 75% winrates for zerg in ZvP.

That's exactly what he did.

No it's not, he made more Phoenix when they weren't really effective, and then went for a quick switch into Colossus while remaining Zealot heavy, a huge tech investment hoping that the Zerg would be caught off guard by the Colossus switch, which was bad. Stargate is relatively standard PvZ nowadays, practically every progamer does it.

But it doesn't deny the third of good Zergs anymore. Back it some bad days it did, but now zergs are good and wreck any Protoss that goes Stargate. It is just always a terrible opening and there are VERY few players that manage to pull it off thanks to some trickery.

MC's a great player, and was obviously trying to achieve something with tht but it looked like a blind composition, completely disregarding what he saw with his observer hoping it would work anyway.

Because nowadays, by the time you have 200/200 off 2 bases, the Zerg has at least 4 bases.

MC played absolutely terrible, I guess its just one of those days. Remember Huk said this, some days you just play poor. It happens in every sport. Dont be too quick to judge MC as bad, or on a tilt.

Please explain how MC would have ever secured a third base and been able to defend on that map. Or was he supposed to turtle to 200/200 on two base while Losira takes the map and goes broodlord/corruptor?
