$20 a bit hefty, especially since there are 4 qualifiers where the majority will end up paying $80 and failing. "Free flight (* paid by ur money)".

I'm still entering though...

Entry fee for the online qualifiers is $20 to help offset our costs, if you get top 2 in any of our qualifiers you get:

Free Flight
Free Hotel
Placement into the Championship Bracket (Minimum $1000 prize money)

Entry fee for the live qualifiers is $50, top 16 advance from the live qualifiers to the Championship Bracket.

ok but an entry fee for a qualifier + sc community = not kosher

Most tournaments wouldn't give you 100% free flight, hotel and minimum $1000 for winning a qualifier sir!

kk so aug 20 at 2pm est right?

why does everyone think koreans deserve special treatment? i feel like they should have to deal with everyone just like everyone else they dont get to have everyone do everything for them and they have to just live with it

Thats what I am thinking too. Same treatment for everyone, no need to specially cater for one group.

If Koreans are interested they will come, if not - their loss.

Just need Tastosis for Caster Set 3 and DJWheat and Day9 for caster set 4 and this might be the best tournament ever created. (Hyped... EG got me hyping up everything nowwww)

We don't have any chairs in the main event hall. We have stadium seating.

Oh wow... You guys are like 1-uping every tournament out there. I hope that reserved seating is actually enforced unlike at MLG. We need beefy ushers to guard my seat from Xeris.

I don't think that is nearly enough seating. With such limited seating they could literally charge like $100 a spectator. = /

It looks quite big to me. I was at MLG Anaheim and NASL and it looks sufficient to me. Probably overkill looking at it pessimistically.

Look at it this way! You could register and compete in four separate qualifiers for $80 and stand to win a free flight (from Europe or Korea or wherever) and free hotel for the event, OR you could spend $50 for the live qualifier and spend your own money traveling. To me that seems like a pretty good deal, especially if you qualify on just one try. No matter what, qualifying will be difficult!

Is that $20 for all qualifiers, or that each qualifier has a $20 entry fee? I think it'd be important to clarify this.

EDIT: Looks like this has been already been cleared up by the time I posted this. Ignore this.

Hi there Scribble. Sound proof booths are a given.

Spectator pass will be $50 at the lowest pricing point -- this grants access for all four days to our main event stage and the open qualifiers.

It holds 800 seats. I think there would be way more than 800 spectators there.

That's 800 RESERVED seats. The theater will hold 1,500, and we're going to have seating prepared for thousands more at alternate seating locations.

Hi there Corrick. There are 800 RESERVED seats in the main event hall plus roughly 700 open seats.

Then there will be seating for the qualifiers area as well.

Are you going to adjust the times for later qualifiers? seems lke this time is perfect for Euros, mediocre for Americans, and atrocious for Koreans.
do you have enough resolve, hero of justice?

Tournament clashes with the GSTL final, so quite sure we can rule them out.

$20 entry fee is fine.

The problem Koreans had with NASL was the $250 (or was it $500?) security deposit they'd have to leave with NASL for 5 months. Teams couldn't afford to do that for multiple players as many Korean teams still have no sponsors. The unsponsored teams just couldn't afford it, supposedly many teams are barely able to afford food.

This may well be my most anticipated LAN of the year given how amazingly the other IPL stuff has been done. Really excited to see them sticking with painuser, hd and cats pj's as there lead casters too because honestly theyve been great. They (and all of ipl) has really exceded my expectations
