Yeah, he did get those Banshees for free, but even during the actual engagement the Phoenixes would still be there destroying the Banshees. Tough to defend against? No doubt, but no harder than any other popular all-in of any race.
If the phoenix are there to destroy banshees then the tanks wouldn't be lifted. Plus you can see how fast they go down when they are being lifted. You could keep your banshees safe from the phoenix if you position marines under them.

If TheBest 3-kills this, he's getting the "You're the best" by Joe Esposito from me.

Of course it was his fault. Had he even had the banshees and kept them with the army, Puzzle still would have phoenix for either banshee/marine soak and siege tank pick-ups. It still would have been different results than any of the current 1/1/1 tear-feasts, win or lose. And it was looking like he would have won regardless of getting the free banshees.

Maybe you should teach SangHo, Alicia, and Puzzle how to hold it off then, because they're all complaining about it.

i kill all banshee using phoenixes before and still lose without the scv. i admit i Amove, but my army was simply superior as i graviton beam all the tank. So you still need epic control to win.

I don't understand when people say Puzzle got the banshees for free - who would expect a phoenix to be out so soon. It's standard for Terran to harass with it - phoenix just smart counter. It's not some TheBest control. And then sure asd control wasn't perfect (losing the tank) but neither was Puzzle - Puzzle played well with the FF delaying the push by an additional minute (2 sets of 30 second forcefield). Sure if Terran keeps banshees in his base push could be stronger but then Toss also doesn't deal with harass. And how was it 'barely holding' when Puzzle didn't even have to pull any probes for the atk. Even if he lost the nexus he's still so up on harvesters and sure, Terran can bunker but with immo + phoenix lifting tanks you can break bunker contains decently, esp as Terran has barely any econ behind it.
It's not like Puzzle just tried this stargate build out of his ass - he's obviously practiced a lot against the 111 allin and that's his way of holding. There's a reason this build fell out of style.
Anyway, here's hoping for rine-scv allin from TheBest!

Can someone give us some PlayXP reactions regarding the GSTL? Don't they give a shit either (looks like the coaches mainly use it for giving the players experience)?

Hahaha seriously that's so funny. Everytime 1-1-1 is held (and now it has been quite a lot) every protoss says it's badly executed (by the best players in the world). Finally protoss will understand that this push is not that strong, maybe... If a protoss donated a colossi for no damage before attacking with a two colossi push before thermal lance was finished, you would call it poorly executed. This pretty close to that.

I don't get it. Yesterday we commented that he wasn't aggressive because he went Banshee before raven. You only do that if you plan to harass. Because his raven was late he didn't have energy for a PDD. Thorzain also only sieged 1 of 3 tanks. Today we commented that he donated key units of the push and once again engaged without sieged tanks (this time because the he moved before it finished). I hope that explains what each days comments mean. They aren't random bitching, there is some logic.
Don't bother. You know Terrans and even some Zergs are just praying that a 1-1-1 loses so they can complain about us complaining, no matter how badly they botched it.

Fuck those terran builds, when I watch a TVP I feel like i'm back in 2010.

When have they have complained about it? Why do so many people over-exaggerate things?

Erm, I don't know why people are saying the banshees were given away. Asd clearly did not expect Stargate play, and 111 sending 1-2 banshee to poke harass the Protoss is pretty common.
It was pretty great play by Puzzle, and clearly the signs of a developing strategy/build to fight the 1-1-1, though he did messed up the later parts of the engagement a little.
Well all in all, it is not perfect, this game should be of some inspirations to Protoss, that there's possibilities being developed to the all-in.
Coupled with how Puzzle played against Leenock with his tech sniping, DT harass and warp prism drops, Puzzle is clearly someone to follow (for those who haven't been doing so already)..

MMA and ThorZain both forgot siege, and now asd gave away 3 banshees for free. Just because they're fantastic players doesn't mean they're infallible, and the build still has a 90% winrate.
Thorzain got his army completely tangled behind two FF, then sieged a tank a mile away from the battle and sent in the other two unsieged kinda randomly. Major bungling, and I'm sure he knows it.

A properly executed 1-1-1 has been held, even with minor mistakes from the protoss! That wasn't properly executed. Don't you hear what Artosis is saying about all the free kills Puzzle got? asd messed up a lot more than Puzzle did. Free kills, don't think it would've done as well with the Raven. Here are a few important things to note about that. Puzzle got THREE free banshees. That is about a third of the builds DPS wasted. ASD moved early and didn't have siege tech allowing Puzzle to take a free tank and get into a fantastic position. Finally, Puzzle's micro was so much better than ASD's. His immortal control was fantastic and the ASD had his tanks in the front. Was it a hold? HELL YES (puzzle fighting)! Was it a hold against a top notch 1-1-1? No way. And why did he killed 3 free banshees ? Because as soon as his obs scouted the 111 he started a stargate, so if the T harass with his banshees (which he does 80% of the time and get 4-8 probes) he'll lose them. It was not 3 randomly free banshees, it was free banshees that everyone who does this push will always lose unless they stop harassing. This is huge.
