EPTI think that type of 1 rax expand *can* still be viable in TvT if it's played right (MMA had quite a bit of success with that style at GSL) and you have a good idea of what your opponent is doing, but on close air metalopolis you really need to tech to starport at around the same time as your opponent or you're incredibly vulnerable.
