Best foreign zerg I think, but you have to give best foreigner to HuK (winning Homestory III, DreamHack, and 2-0 ing his group in Code S)

Ya, it's pretty clear HuK is the best foreigner, but I'd say Sen is easily second, with naniwa and thorzain probably lingering in the background

lol huk is best foreigner how? just because he won dreamhack and homestory?
huk winning those two small lans doesnt mean much, look at StACE he won iem but fell outa the gsl
look at MMA he won mlg but fell outa the gsl
you see what i mean?
huk is not best foreigner, look at this idra beats huk and sen beats idra, also sen gets 3rd at a big lan with many Koreans that EARNED the right to be there no invites like dreamhack etc

Just because ? :|

You Forget he is still in the Code S , Advanced past his group demolishing the competition....Make no Doubt about it , Dreamhack and homestory are not easy tourneys to win...He is undoubtedly the best foreginer Right NOW

lol you really believe huk is the best? where is the proof? sen has beaten huk in a series live on his Justin tv stream.
dreamhack and homestory are all invites so people that go there might not deserve it. and winners of those lans can win those small lans, but in gsl fall down or not get far.
St ace beat MC in the NASL qualifyers does that mean ace is better then MC? what if that was the finals of a lan? no he wouldn't be.
honestly sen is the best foreginer why? because he got top 3. if huk was in nasl you think he can beat mc or puma or sen?

You obviously didn't watch Huk demolish MC, Idra, July, Moon, Naniwa, and everybody else associated with Dreamhack and Homestory Cup. MC got HANDED by Huk. So yes, he can beat MC, Puma, and Sen. I'm willing to beat he wins 2-0 against MC in the Code S round of 16 as well. Sen is EXCELLENT. but Huk has been showing amazing results recently and you're a fool to think he's not the best foreigner

No, Huk isn't. Doing something once isn't really that great. Idra was the best player in the world day one of the last MLG by your standards. You drink the kool aid too quickly.

I should probably add "At this moment" to my post. But Huk kept his play at a very high level over a long period of time, whereas Idra's great play at MLG was what, 5 hours? That's awesome, but hardly consistent.

Getting top 3 at the NASL is not a bigger achievement than getting 1st place at Dreamhack and Homestory Cup.

uhhh what? It most certainly is because you have to be good for a much longer period of time against good competition, you can't just have a great day or two, you have to be consistently playing well.

huk won two tournaments in like three weeks which is relatively quick. Before that there wasn't much in terms of results in the GSL specifically. Plus Idra has won tournaments in the beta all the way to still finishing as the best foreigner at the last MLG. Huk had a much more difficult time as soon as he entered Korea where he fell off before showing results.

so Huk is better then MC then?nope. you win some you lose some. there is no such thing as best player. just top player, and Canadian huk is one of the top

mlg, dreamhack, iem, tsl. all don't represent who the best players are. like st ace, mma, thorzain etc all got whuped vs other players right after their wins.

Huk is probably the best foreigner right now, almost certainly the best foreigner Protoss.

Sen is probably the best foreigner Zerg right now, or tied for it with Idra (who is the most accomplished foreigner Zerg in terms of tournaments).

Thorzain is probably the best foreigner Terran.

But such rankings change overtime.

If Dimaga comes and wins MLG Anaheim, for example, he'd probably become the best foreigner Zerg.

Getting top 3 at the NASL is not a bigger achievement than getting 1st place at Dreamhack and Homestory Cup.

uhhh what? It most certainly is because you have to be good for a much longer period of time against good competition, you can't just have a great day or two, you have to be consistently playing well.

I could turn your argument on its head and argue that it's easier to have during the regular season one week each time to prepare for a single bo3, since you only have one matchup to train each week (plus you know who you're going to play against so you can also prepare by analyzing that player's style). It's harder in that regard to prepare for every single possible matchup AND player style (since you don't know who you'll be facing), something that is needed to compete at Dreamhack, at the HSC 3 and at the NASL finals.
The bottomline is that combining a 1st place at Dreamhack and a 1st place at HSC3, looking at the results needed to achieve both, is a bigger achievement than getting top 3 at the NASL.

edit: jimjimchoi, you seem to fail to understand that one can be the best player and still lose to other people. What you have to look at is the global achievements over a not-too-short period of time.

What if CombatEx goes and wins MLG? Will that make him the best foreigner toss?

Also: Is Dimaga going to Anaheim, because that would be AWESOME.

you just add tied with sen part because this is a forum for foreigners, white people, and all i see is people trying to rep there own country and race here.

Remembering that while he was in Korea he had no chance to compete in tournaments other than the GSL so it was kind of hard for him to show very many results. Its too hard to say anyway who is the best/top players at a single point in time. Its kind of hard to understand why any one would bother bashing any of the players.

What the fuck are you talking about? MC said after the game that Sen got really good lately and I think there is no bigger sign of respect from MC than that.

Stop talking all those bullshit IdrA fanboys. HuK achieved more lately than Sen/IdrA and won some damn hard tournaments and made more money than the others, so just go read a book or something, but stop being ignorant and BS on people not even related to the tournament.

I am Swiss and I rep the best foreigners at the moment, not people from my country, so shut up.

@NASL:
Great to see MC losing from time to time. Still, he is a beast. And congrats to PUMA, I loved his hellion style against July (didn't see the finals yet), even though I think this is pretty hard to defend as a zerg... poor zergs...
But he won against MC, so he probably isn't a "i'm good at one matchup" guy
