I bet if Thorzain had won the open bracket and took MC in a best of 7 match a lot of you wouldn't be saying shit. I bet the majority of people who complain about Puma are the ones who can't stand to see Koreans winning anything outside of Korea.

You mean like Send a video before a deadline? ... maybe you aren't aware of the group stages? Ret went 8-1 to get the number 1 spot. Puma went 8-0 to get his What's your point? dude, are you serious? one is an open bracket tournament that took what, 1 day? where anyone can play? the other one took MONTHS and had only top invited opponents. arent you guys basically arguing about the same point? that koreans like puma came into nasl though the short open tourney and the other players had a long and arduous gaming bracket? the original argument was that it's a hell of a lot more work for the invited players to qualify than for the player to qualify through open bracket (not necessarily harder, just more work), and I agree with that. I think it would make more sense for the open bracket winner to go to group stages with the invites, and I think it would make seeding easier too. So playing one best of 3 once a week is more difficult than going through a open bracket full of Korean pro players and the open bracket requires no losses while the regular season didnt. they had to spend all that time and money to do that, compared to puma who just goes "oh I put in $10 and if I win I can get a spot in the finals!" He also gets a spot into season 2 of the NASL all for $10. All the other players in the Open bracket also put in $10. Why didnt they get in the finals. Because they didn't get top 4? Nice troll attempt.

I think you must have missed Bomber and Polt's matches with MC before =p PvT is clearly MC's weakest matchup, but as you can see, its still friggin' beastly o_O When I read comments such as these, I ask myself whether there are Protoss players to whom PvT isnt the weakest MU. When I read comments like these I wonder if English is your first language. What do you mean? That is not a complete sentence. It is two sentences in fact When i read comments such as these / I ask myself whethere there are protoss players to whom PvT isnt the weakest MU. "When I read comments such as these" is not a complete sentence :D Isn't it? it has a subject and a verb and an object and everything in spanish at least we would consider that a complete sentence Edit: i think it's a subordinate sentence so i'm kind of clear why it wouldn't be. it's still confusing though :/ It's fragmented sentence because the phrase "such as these" is not necessarily clear enough as to properly define or dictate what the object being talked about is doing or not doing. Specifically the phrase "When I read comments" can be understood as a complete sentence but upon inserting "such as these" you create a clause that is hanging. However, the original sentence "When i read comments such as these, I ask myself whether there are protoss players to whom PvT isnt the weakest MU." is alright as a sentence--for the most part. It would be more "accurate" if it was "Whenever I read a comment similar to what you have just said, I have to ask myself whether or not there is a protoss player whose weakest matchup is not PvT." However, in fairness, that is a ridiculously dumb sentence to say since it's far too dense and far to extended to be, as linguists like to say, a grammatical form of speech. Woah thanks for the insightful analysis, i'm gonna have to re-run most of my language classes cuz i didn't seem to get the hang of it in 9 years :/ Oh please don't. Language Accuracy is only necessary in teaching the basics of a language. The importance of language is communication and the tropes and standards of communication evolve over time. It is the Academic's job to maintain accuracy in teaching the language but it is the "layman's" job to evolve it. Academics have to learn to catch up to the status-quo of impromptu communication otherwise they are simply removing themselves from society too much. Ivory Towers are bad for academics despite how pretty they are. EDIT: Fixed a sentence lol Your analysis was off the mark anyway. The problem with saying that "When I read comments such as these" is a sentence is not that "such as these" isn't clear enough, in fact it has nothing to do with the "such as these" part. The problem is that "When I read comments such as these" is a subordinate clause ("when" being a subordinate conjunction), meaning that it cannot stand alone as a sentence. See this link.

More players should have come out of the open brackets. NASL invited a ton of random foreigners that arent very good at the expense of better players.

MC has an insane ability to adapt to his opponents. I am pretty sure hehad very little if any experience against Sens style, yet he was able to get better and better as the games went on at dealing with it. Against PuMa, he started out very unprepared for the aggressive dropping and as the event went on he got better and better at dealing with PuMa's style, making the series much closer.

good points! the game on taldarim where he just kept intercepting dropships was awesome to watch.

No.
Go watch them now! Mindblowing control and non-stop aggression in most of the games. Terminus and Tal'darim were the most impressive games though.

Let Tassadar and Puzzle lose tonight and today will be the saddest day for Toss ever. I'm just too upset over MC's loss.

Cool beans.
"A subordinate clause cannot stand alone as a sentence because it does not provide a complete thought. The reader is left wondering, "So what happened?""
TLDR--It's not clear enough.
According to your link.
Thanks.

The winner of the league's first season...didn't play in the league?

The part where players are saying the player who won the open bracket didn't deserve the 16th spot as much as the playoffs players?

Only subscribers get to see the day 3 rerun?

What a fucking absurd analysis. On tal'darim, because of their close locations, T has to fly around 3 towers on fairly unprotecting terrain.
That's why it was possible to intercept the drops because there was so much time to do so.

It was announced way back when the season started that this was going to happen. xD
