Again, I'm not saying Puma isn't skilled or that he didn't earn his place in the finals. He beat a whole host of amazing players in the open tournament and wiped out even bigger names in the grand finals to win it all. I'm just saying that perhaps there shouldn't be a slot for anyone to just play one day's worth of games to get in while the rest of the players had to play over a course of 9 or so weeks and ungodly hours.

I'm going to check if they're somehow up already b/c I was working when the finals happened ![]() They have a broadcast vod at justin.tv/naslseasonone that goes up pretty much instantly after the broadcast ends. It's automated and not split up properly though, so its a 10+ hour broadcast split into 1.5hour chunks and you'll need to manually find when the matches start

"Correctly attach a subordinate clause to a main clause. When you attach a subordinate clause in front of a main clause, use a comma, like this: subordinate clause + , + main clause." So, the sentence is fine. The subordinate clause is there, and he has the main clause. wtf is the problem with it?

My bad, I thought that was a sarcastic "thanks" :p I was under the impression that you were saying that what I wrote was the same as what you had been arguing previously. Cheers and sorry for the mistake ^^

By saying that Puma doesn't deserve to be in the finals you're essentially implying that going through the open bracket is easy. using that logic you'd clearly have a shot at making it through? no?

Difference is, I don't play the game 8+ hours a day as a job -.- Also, that's not even part of the argument lol, nobody is saying it's easy to get through the open bracket, just that it's unfair that they get a spot in the finals.

And here I was thinking that people were upset that NASL decided to match the top seed, Ret, with the best player in the tournament. Seems a little harsh to punish the top seed with that, no? Nobody said that Ret would've won the tournament but even I would think that he deserved to be matched against a lesser player as a reward for being the top ranked player in a 9 week league.

That's why it was possible to intercept the drops because there was so much time to do so. That is all you got? So MC must have stopped using Phoenixes just...because? No, he did it because it wasn't working vs PuMa's style, putting those resources into more of everything else. He got better at spreading his forces to respond to the drops in each game. He started using his observers better. More cannons. Etc. Vs Sen, very similar. He was not used to that style. He said so in his interview. he was constantly playing with his unit composition and style. This isn't a complicated point, lots of players adjust in a boX series, he just did a good job at it.

Alright, so now you're saying that you need to be a good player to get through the open bracket? success. and if it's hard to make it through then I fail to see how it doesn't warrant a place in the finals.

Actually, I believe that a few players threw their final games in order to avoid being the top seed which is why Ret got it. That makes the whole situation even more ridiculous.

But MLG didn't have 9 weeks of games..it's a weekend event. NASL lasted three months, and all the players put a ton of time into preparing for their games and playing them. PuMa just came in one day won an open tourney and stole it from everyone else that played their games for 3 months. Don't get me wrong I'm glad for him, but it just seems a little unfair but it's whatever.

If I'm not mistaken, the competitors of season 2 and on earn their spots through a qualifier, right? Then there should be no reason for anyone to complain about anyone making it to the finals because they'll have played through the entire league and earned their place. As skilled as Puma is, it feels a bit wrong in my heart that someone who didn't dedicate 9 weeks of group play to the tournament come in and swept the whole thing. Again, I'm not saying Puma isn't skilled or that he didn't earn his place in the finals. He beat a whole host of amazing players in the open tournament and wiped out even bigger names in the grand finals to win it all. What? I think it's an excellent (yes, I did) opportunity for new and upcoming players to get a shot at the finals even though they might not have been invited/qualified for the league 2 months earlier (Puma and ThorZain are two great examples who had their breakthroughs after the invitation process). And to be fair the players that played through the league and didn't make it past the ro16 would probably not have won the open tournament either.
