why would Zenio walk to smb on stage and then turn away lol? Because Sen was waving his hand at him? This tourney has the worst luck ever when it comes to embarassing moments lol.

That's the saddest thing I have ever seen. Feel bad for Geoff for sure.

Whats with the map pool limited to 3 maps anyways O.o wierd.

I was wondering about this throughout day 1. =(

they seem to be keeping it as well. new pool is:

game1: metalopolis
game2: crevasse
game3: typhon peaks

-.-

While the fixed map pool is pretty lame, I was more disappointed by the choices of maps yesterday. I think today's maps will have more interesting games, and decrease the chance of seeing another Ret vs. Puma, since I don't think that was fun for anyone to watch.

It you liked seeing flawless play then Puma vs Ret was fun, if you like seeing a 'close' game being two players playing sloppily maybe you enjoyed Darkforce vs Alive.

here's somewhat of a statement from a NASL official:

I'm sorry guys, Yesterday I was in the dark about what has been going as much as you guys. I am not not at the event and the people I get my information and updates from were busy all day at the event trying to fix things and running the show. Right after the event finished I passed out because I did not get any sleep the night before so I did not get the chance to talk to anyone till this morning.

Basically what happened yesterday is as follows: The night before the event started we were doing some testing and preparing the rightmost projector suffered catastrophic failure and was unusable. We immediately overnight a replacement that arrived first thing in this morning. Installation took extensive time and thus caused a hour delay to the premiere. Additionally, this last minute projector replacement meant we did not have an opportunity to extensively test the projection system. As it turns out, the venue projection fails to hook up to the stream output. As a last minute solution we placed the stream system on follow to the stream observer. There are feedbacks regarding this caused jerky camera motion, so we changed to a dedicated observer for rest of the cast. Throughout the day they also worked with some Justin.TV people(Gunrun and some others) to help optimize the stream quality and to fix the audio.

As for stream and audio interviews, the projectors there were not cooperating very well so there had to be two separate streams, One for the In-house stream and one for the online one. The audio for the in-house stream got fixed and balanced but there is something going on between the upstream and jtv stream which is causing the issues. We think the problem is something about the FMLE not liking using the AAC codec for audio on the stream output which is causing the imbalance. The crew pulled a all nighter to try to fix and improve everything. Hopefully everything will be great today and I will try to keep you guys updated more~

What a juvenile piece of shit. He was invited over here to play in a tournament then to show his maturity he pouts away from shaking incontrol's hand like a fucking 8 year old prick who's mommy just told him he couldn't get a fucking lolly pop.

Just lost a LOT of respect for that player and team if that's how they are told to act.

Incontrol was not his competition, he was a caster helping to host the games, there is no call for that kind of douche baggery. I hope his team manager see's this and bitches him out for how fucking stupid he was.

I think the reason the NASL has been doing Bo3's is to give foreigners a fighting chance to upset the Koreans. The more games there are in a series, the less chance an underdog has of pulling an upset.

It's too bad, because I would've preferred the NASL spend all weekend broadcasting actual games off Bo5's. It'd be better than them trying to stretch a handful of Bo3 games over the entire weekend using a lot of dead time and protracted intro videos and other fillers. It's like they're trying to stretch 8 hours of actual content over 3 days.

At no point during that exchange between Geoff and Zenio did Zenio ever actually see Geoff's hand being offered to him. If Zenio had seen it I am 100% sure that it would be a different interaction completely.

No it was on purpose, no reason to sway back and forth as he walked up on stage. He planned it.

If I was Incontrol, i'd make sure that was the last foreign tournament he'd ever be in.

Was there beef between them?

(If it wasnt, he would have reacted with the crowd and rushed over to shake his hand)

Angry foreigner aren't you? Zenio didn't even see the hand, his head was facing to the right fool.

Of course he seen him. He was walking right towards him and there Incontrol stood. You don't just walk up onto a stage where there is 1 person waiting to greet you and introduce you and NOT SEE THEM. Too many naive people that refuse to see whats right in front of them.

Hehe. One may wonder why they don't take the game more seriously. At least for a spectator it seems like they get surprised by the korean strategies even though there's so much material out there that they can use for preparation. They should also sharpen their mechanics to perfection since that is easy to achieve with specific training.

Anyway, perhaps it just as Idra has said that the gaming infrastructure in Korea is that good compared to other countries. I don't think it's a question about talent in the western countries because there's a lot of that but there's is too little research and (professional) coaching in sc2 that is necessary for our players to play excellent.
