Also, really hoping that the ro8 will be BO5s, there is easily enough time surely?

Don't mind the relatively small prize pool, it has such a great atmosphere and I think most players enjoyed it. Thank god Huk won the whole thing, else he wouldn't be that happy with what he lost in black jack/poker. And considering how much MC won in poker (despite never having played it before, according to him) the whole trip might've been financially viable. :-) What did they win in poker/blackjack?

Calm down son, I know you don't like NASL and they certainly need to fine tune some of their stuff, but let's not go overboard.

I have to agree with the people complaining about the production value, it's unacceptable. Look, I want NASL to succeed. It would be a huge boom to NA e-sports and it would further bring e-sports and starcraft 2 into the mainstream. The issue is that if they have poor production values, people aren't going to want to watch and if people don't watch then sponsors aren't going want to invest. The fact that the interviews are extremely awkward and there are constant sound issues can't really excite sponsors either. How can you trust NASL to endorse your product when they can't even do things that are taken for granted at other events correctly? Look at an event like the homestory cup, I don't really remember any big production gaffes with that and I doubt they broke the bank making that happen. If a tournament with like 1/10th the prize pool that's run out of a guy's apartment can do it how can NASL not?

There is 100 000$ on the line, this is single elimination and you force players to play on maps that might not like at all? Let players veto a map at least and mix up the maps, seeing xelnaga and crossfire all the time wasn't that awesome.I didn't watch the whole thing, but it got boring. I dunno never really got into NASL, but hoped the finals would be fun to watch at least, but from what I saw they epic failed at best.

"This is our first event and we're not that great at this stuff yet, sorry." Would that really make anyone feel any better? When MLG apologized its because they had higher expectations for themselves. I don't think NASL has the same problem. They are just trying to make it through the event.

To be honest just an assurance that they're aware of the problems, acknowledging them, and how they're going to fix it for day 2 or season 2 would probably ease up the populace a lot better. I dunno, I woke up expecting to see a statement and thinking "if they're aware of it and they make everything better, all will be forgotten". We'll still see.

I think Geoff said they were going to be the premier, best North american league, so people got their hopes up. I hope they'll make darkforce's games available to watch
