according to this grubby is now +1? tiebreaker with IdrA?

If you go by Head to head or # of wins Idra wins 2-0 vs grubby and 7 wins to 6 wins

Foreign T's are really struggling atm while korean t's are dominating. Seems to be going the way of bw with terran being too mechanically demanding foreigners. U could prolly name like 20 korean t's better than any foreign t atm besides maybe thorzain =\

very true
i feel as if foreigners have a better grasp on protoss while koreans have better terran

dunno about zerg though, they're everywhere

I think Koreans definitely have a better grasp on Protoss. They have a better grasp on Terran too, but I think foreign Terrans, particularly European, do have an understanding of certain styles of Terran that can rival the Korean Terrans understanding of the game. When you look at the development of Terran throughout Starcraft, I feel Terran is the race in which foreigner styles, like Jinro's, Thorzains and Goody's have leaked into the Korean play. I don't see this so much with the other races. But maybe I'm biased and just don't pay as much attention to other races.

Korean Zergs are far an away the best. On a good day players like Sen, Idra and Dimaga can beat Koreans, but I see players like Losira and Nestea, who just seem to understand their race much better than anyone else.

The LoL stream supposedly is counting everyone that's logged in? At least, that's what is being said. We'll find out after the event.

I'm kinda tired of beating this dead and decomposed horse, but the stream count is accurate. The game client only provides you with a link.

should practice ur beating skills:

That's an image that links you to the stream. The image doesn't even show a real flash stream, it's a photoshopped image.

so i shouldnt spread misinformation then, im so good.

Lol and what about both Naniwa and Sase going 5-0 (10-1)?

To be fair they both had an easier group than MC.

That's very debatable...

Come on, be fair.
Nani had an opponents only in Ret and Strelok. Jimpo is good but not top level, Moman isnt a threat and lolTyler this aint no BW, someone new to the scene might even wonder if hes in Master league.

SaSe is underrated, for one i actually expected him to place first although not to roflstomp everyone so hard.
He has contenders in Kas and Idra, while Naama isnt as good as he was(his like European QXC), Grubby was never good in SC2 and Merz isnt that level. Have to say that this group really surprised me alot, specially Kas with his terrible performances after his games against Naama.

MC on the other hand had in his group Sen, THE best foreign zerg, Cloud to whom he is down 2-0 in their meetings and who is a very strong high apm top terran player. Adel is good, not the top protoss but still good, and we know PvP can go either way, and Adel did manage to take a game of MC. TT1 is a little worse than Adel but still good enough to take games off MC in PvP if MC isnt careful. Naugrim as expected went 0-5 but he did cause more trouble to MC than anyone else in the group.
So yeah, MC had a harder group no matter how you want to look at it.

Lol, Naugrim sucks, Adelscott have not done anything lately to be impressed about, Cloud is inconsitent as f*** and same goes for TT1. Sen was MC's real opponent in that group, no matter how you want to look at it.

IdrA would have been 5-0 but he's sick.

IdrA would have actually won MLG Columbus but MMA self destructed his OC to mindfuck IdrA.

Who gives a shit about League of Legends. Starcraft 2 is much more widely played around the world and it has no competition. LOL has to deal with HoN and a slew of other similar type games. When Dota 2 comes out LOL will be obsolete. League of Legends doesn't have the same fun and great gameplay that dota had because it's owners run it like a business which it is.

Grubby was fine he had like two more bases and then at the end he just wanted to get carriers out and put on a show.

Exactly he wanted to put on a nice show and unfortunately we didn't get to see mothership + carriers.

It means the french start with Moman . Also in the final standings Idra > Grubby, because that was the result from their direct match.

That's been discussed quite a bit already, but I've mostly glazed over it. I don't know the rules exactly, but I do know that Idra and Sase are advancing - Day9's stream says so.

Great play by Grubby, it's a shame that he won't advance but an awesome showing nevertheless. I think there should be a playoff rather than this stupid rule but oh well, rules are rules.

I'm going out on a limb here but I'd guess that Grubby has never experienced that scenario before...

And by that scenario I mean relocation of base due to a defensive nuke and a terran who has turtled in your former base who has ghosts to snipe and emp in combination with a few tanks and a barracks wall in.

He played it safe and then showed some flair. That's exactly how it should be done in an unknown but favorable situation in a competitive tournament IMO.
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

Yea allways the excuses right? Was he sick in NASL also so he coulnt qualify for that?

welcome to IdrA, the guy who cant even lose a ZvZ without crying about it being a "coinflip matchup" despite losing in a long macro game, and 0-6 total vs his opponent..
