Have to say that this group really surprised me alot, specially Kas with his terrible performances after his games against Naama. MC on the other hand had in his group Sen, THE best foreign zerg, Cloud to whom he is down 2-0 in their meetings and who is a very strong high apm top terran player. Adel is good, not the top protoss but still good, and we know PvP can go either way, and Adel did manage to take a game of MC. TT1 is a little worse than Adel but still good enough to take games off MC in PvP if MC isnt careful. Naugrim as expected went 0-5 but he did cause more trouble to MC than anyone else in the group. So yeah, MC had a harder group no matter how you want to look at it. Lol, Naugrim sucks, Adelscott have not done anything lately to be impressed about, Cloud is inconsitent as f*** and same goes for TT1. Sen was MC's real opponent in that group, no matter how you want to look at it. IdrA would have been 5-0 but he's sick. Yea allways the excuses right? Was he sick in NASL also so he coulnt qualify for that? IdrA said he'd 2-0 both Koreans in his group. IdrA got 2-0'd by both Koreans in his group. Great play by Grubby, it's a shame that he won't advance but an awesome showing nevertheless. I think there should be a playoff rather than this stupid rule but oh well, rules are rules.
I'm an ex-WC3'er so I love Grubby and Moon, but even I can admit the rule is fair... no time to fit in another match + Idra did beat Grubby 2-0... oh Grubby, so close. People say he sucks but he's actually very good...

Grubby is new to SC2 compared to other progamers. His results in WC3 show that he can be a champion. He showed some really great play in this tournament, and I think we're gonna see Grubby doing alot better now!

Fortunately Naama got bored and went and got himself killed. I'm going out on a limb here but I'd guess that Grubby has never experienced that scenario before... And by that scenario I mean relocation of base due to a defensive nuke and a terran who has turtled in your former base who has ghosts to snipe and emp in combination with a few tanks and a barracks wall in. He played it safe and then showed some flair. That's exactly how it should be done IMO.
I think Grubby knew he was fine the whole time and it just looked like he was making some bad decisions because he was:
1) playing RIDICULOUSLY safe 2) trying to put on a show.
He's got his own team and hasn't exactly been putting up insane tournament finishes so if nothing else he needs to put on a good show. Fortunately for Grubby his fans are ridiculously loyal and will worship him no matter how he finishes (myself included obviously, but to be fair 3rd in his group going 6-5 is something I'm pretty happy about)

Doesn't really matter who idrA gets next round, he's not going far in this tournament that's for sure.

also, grubby, pro tip:
ATTACK WHEN YOU ARE MAXED OUT, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
I really feel like when his +3 armor finished he should have GS + attacked, but I think that he didn't realize how much of an upgrade advantage he had (and how few siege tanks there were). After that he was definitely scared of tanks, rightfully so. Probably could have led with Immortals to absorb the first shots, then charglots to close the gap, but he played it safe.
He gave Naama his old base -> meaning there were very few minerals there. Compared to Grubby's 3 completely fresh bases (and 60+ probes), it was no problem to rebuild elsewhere, whereas Naama had no hope. Very safe play.

Seems to me he needs work on this PvP and PvZ. His PvT performance today been stellar, but he look horrible in the other matchups. Really hope this motivates him even more so he puts in even more practice. I know he can definitely become one of the best.
