I think Thorzain, Rain and Clide are in good stand to make it quite far and win. Rain won't get past Deathangel you heard it here first! =))

No. IdrA is qualified for next season, cannot under any circumstances make the Grand Finals of Season 1. Tyler is not qualified, he will be eligible to compete in the Season 2 qualifier for one of the eight remaining spots if he so desires.

I don't really have any ideas to stop the NASL from being an only Korean league. And honestly, I think it's a huge shame on the foreign community if the league ends up being 50 Korean players... that means that non Koreans need to train harder to be able to compete! If only Koreans are winning, then kudos to them for trying harder, taking it more seriously, and being better =D

If only Koreans are winning, then kudos to them for trying harder, taking it more seriously, and being better =D As a fan, I have mixed feelings about this issue. On the one hand, I entirely agree that the onus is on the foreign scene to 'man-up' and rise to the occasion. The last thing I want to subscribe to is a farcical league, with players that can't compete at an international level. I would rather pay for a league that is 50% Korean and enjo the best level of play possible. On the other hand, if one of NASL's long-term goals is to provide incentive for NA players to grow, and develop the e-sport scene here, I think the NASL will have to make some kind of concessions in the future, to ensure the NA players with the most potential have the opportunity to participate. This could mean anywhere from scheduling NA player games outside standard work and school hours, or providing small prizes during divisional play for participants. I'm not sure what the solution is, but the pool of NA players aren't suddenly going to become top tier players overnight. Even though the NASL has an incredible prize pool, it's not a strong enough incentive for a 'tweeners' or up-and-coming players to quit their job or school to participant in NASL or other leagues.

One is Rain, who was just recently part of TSL.

On June 23 2011 07:10 CoR wrote:now it could be top8 will ONLY be korean That's not possible. With the way the brackets in this tournament are set up, a maximum of 5 Koreans can advance. On June 23 2011 07:10 CoR wrote:then nasl will contail like 16+ koreans (and season 3 could be 25+ koreans then) The first assessment is correct (not that a third of the players coming from one of the three major regions is objectionable or anything - as it was for NASL Season 1, the three regions were not balanced at all, with NA > EU > KR in terms of player balance). The second assessment is a "worst case" scenario that could also happen with EU players. Imagine all the NA players falling out and being replaced by EU players. It might or might not happen, let's see how this goes on. On June 23 2011 07:10 CoR wrote:what your idea to stop the NASL go korean only league ? The best course of action is to keep mingling the scenes and trust in the NA and EU scene to keep improving and growing and automatically keeping things balanced.

It's kinda funny how much shit we got from everyone that we didn't at first announce that we were adding Koreans, or we didn't do enough to add Koreans... and now people are worried that there will be too many Koreans. Can't please anyone, apparently ![]() Honestly, the die has been cast and will fall as it does. We can't really stop Koreans without seemingly incredibly biased. If we maintain an open qualification process, which really is the fairest way, we can't really limit Koreans. If we made it favorable to Americans somehow, then it would be unfair, by definition, to everyone else. I mean, the fact that Koreans and Europeans have to play with NA lag is an inherent advantage to NA players, if you really think about it. If American players aren't good enough, however, to qualify... there isn't much more we can do without totally biasing the competition. That being said, I think Minigun (if he can get past Major) has a very good shot ^_^!

However in the long term, I would not be against a rule to prevent the league from being dominated by any one region. (like, having 35+ players from either NA, EU, or KR). Of course, this would probably require a more segmented qualification process then two big Open Tournament, like regional qualifiers where players are vying for a certain amount of spots each, similar to the TSL3 or the WCG or the GSL WC - this obviously comes with its very own set of advantages/disadvantages and difficulties, but I don't think that very many people could honestly object to something like that. Even above being a league of the best players, the NASL has to maintain an international makeup of players.
