Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402)

There's just so much multitasking and engagements everywhere.

I'm not complaining about MLG's approach, but I think it'd be fine to stream half a series. Hell, even jumping into the middle of a game, if they had enough casters for it. It'd be awesome to be able to see, like, Tastosis saying, "All right, this match is over, now let's join this other match already in progress. Wheat and Day9, how are things over there?" And then the stream cuts to their feed and they spend a minute catching us up about what's happened so far in the game and then just start broadcasting that series. It'd take a lot more infrastructure, of course. And you'd need to have the other casters in the game and observing, just so they know what's been going on, and just on the off chance that we'll want to cut to them. That's a lot of time that's potentially wasted. But it'd be awesome. Clearly I've been watching Roland Garros a bunch lately. ![]() I agree with you. I wouldn't mind picking up a game midstream especially if it was a good game. other sports do it...why not esports. How would you even do that? MLG has only 2 computers that are "hooked up" to the stream. You can only be an observer of one game at a time. YOu can't just start streaming a game that doesn't even have MLG obs in them...

There's the same tiny error margin that I guess made PvP bearable to watch, but positioning is more important, and its more macro orientated so you get to see bigger armies and more things happening around the map. OMG MMA VS SHETH. MMA is one of my favourite Koreans, but I'm rooting for Sheth, if he won it would be a good way to get some Korean fans hyped up over FXO competing in the GSTL.

Can you do better sir? of course he can, he is moving to korea next week for sure and he is going to take down the GSL, dont argue + Show Spoiler + jesus christ i dont know how you can look at that and call it bad Both players made a lot of mistakes, both had pretty sloppy hellion/dropship control, they never seemed to pay attention, they didn't siege in time, they stood in tank range for no reason, etc. It was a very back and forth game, but the play was disappointing. To be fair, it gets difficult to manage a game which is happening across the entire map. Drops plus hellions make it exceptionally hard to multitask effectively; I think there was genuinely not a single minute from the three minute mark without an engagement. But yes, definitely some big mistakes you would hope not to see in pros.

I feel like drewbies composition was just so off that if he had established the arial dominance and then got a couple of BCs he coulda taken that game very quickly. However I'm pretty new to terran and generally bad at analyzing games so I could be very wrong. Drewbie could've gone BC. The build Fenix used is usually tank/hellion/viking...but he skimped on the vikings so drewbie had a window to exploit that.

For players of other games (I was a fighting game player) you need to have a certain amount of mental fortitude to succeed in a tournament with this many games played; as the weekend goes on your concentration weakens and you start making lots more mistakes. I expect the people working from the Open bracket to perform worse as the weekend goes on. There's 2 sides of this tho, certain players get worse over time, others only get more and more comfortable and more into 'the zone'.

July seems to be playing just fine, kinda funny how it effects some people more than others. July's average game time is also like 7 min whereas some people are playing back to back 20+ min games.
