How does zerg combat such a sick unit combination that involves high templar? Pretty much everything zerg has, except the ultralisk, melt to storms, empty high templar morph into archons, which deal bonus damage to every zerg unit there is, and are strong even against ultralisks.
The only thing that comes to mind is the infestor, but then they get feedbacked and instantly die. And even earlier when they were able to cast fungal with 11 broodlords support, they didnt really scratch the protoss army.
Slush had pretty much all combinations of units that come to mind to deal with this on the field. Ultra/ling/infestor, roach/ling/broodlord/infestor/corruptor, ultra/broodlord/infestor/roach. Pretty much everything. What is zerg supposed to do? All in before protoss reaches that point?

Oh, thanks - are you going to create a new thread? If so I'm happy for this one to close or update the OP to redirect to your thread - the only reason I created it was because nobody was doing it.

Mass ultra would work well I think, but thats hard to get to after making all those broods..

The biggest issue was that Slush invested way too much of his army into his broodlords. Broodlords are like casters - you need perhaps a half dozen of them to wreak havoc. Because he put so much of his food into broodlords (and some more into corrupters that killed less than a quarter of their number in colossus), the zerg ground army was so weak against a colossus/immortal/templar/sentry combination.
If he instead got a few more ultralisks to absorb the hits, then massed roach behind it and rallied to reinforce, he would've mopped up the ground army and his remaining broodlords would've guaranteed an expansion kill every attack.
Roach is very strong even vs storm - if you burrow them they regenerate about as fast as they lose hp.

But mass ultra only work against blink stalker based armies if they have infestors to hold them down, otherwise they dont get enough surface area as the stalkers always blink away. High templars demolished those infestors whenever they dared to get close however...
Rice isn't more complex than humans genetically. All plants have larger genomes than people cause they can't move, they have to build in a lot of different genes for different situations.

I know its not NASLs fault but it sucks
Indeed it does. I wish the players would respect this new huge awesome idea of a tournament more than what we see. It shows who the true professionals are.

They regenerate 40 over 4 seconds, while storm deals more than double that amount in the same time. Burrowed roaches dont shoot and still get damaged, while a few more colossi take shots on them. Burrowing them is a terrible idea, the regeneration mechanic isnt really viable for anything other than regenerating your roaches inbetween fights.

Not taking a pause for MLG might be seen as... non-professional.

Oh, which ones are the walkovers? Where can I find this information.
DDE(and I think) Naniwa.
They showed the text on the stream and I think the OP will update when he cans.
Haha, I AM the OP. InControl mentioned in one of the other LR threads that they would begin announcing the walkovers at the beginning so people wouldn't waste their time waiting to it would appear that they still aren't doing this. Fuck 'em. I'll be severely pissed if I wait only to find out Nada isn't playing today.

Oh snap! XD but yeah they did it as with previous walkovers. I am sure one of them was DDE the other one I am not so sure, my attention is divided with MLG.Sorry I couldn't be more helpful

Combined this with him not being in FXO's roster for the GSTL I hope everything okay for Moonglade.
Well he's still streaming on TL at times, so he's probably just taking a break from competitive play to focus on something else. It happens with players from time to time.
Edit: I still think it's poor form for players not to make every effort to play out their pool games, even if they have nothing to play for.

Two walkovers and the final match spoiled before it started. Thank you for watching NASL.
NASL is not responsible for the walkovers... The players knew what they were committing to and they are the ones choosing to ruin it for the fans. (assuming there were no emergencies which prevented them from attending)
NASL should make it so that players make a deposit of 500 bucks which is refunded as 750 if the players complete all their games. If they miss any games at all they lose their refund.
There is a deposit, but it's just refunded. There's no bonus for following through with the games. It's their first season, they probably didn't expect the players to be so flakey about this. I don't follow the Euro scene, but how is it like in EPL? Other than Naniwa's issues I don't know if their players are more 'on-the-ball' so to speak.
Part of the problem is there is only money for the top 16. No one else gets a cent despite 9 weeks of work so people are less inclined to play in the final weeks if they aren't in the race for the top 2 spots.

I believe the only way you don't have a shot at top 16 is if you're in the bottom 2...big difference. Everyone not in the top or bottom two of each division play off to get into the remaining slots.
he put all the results on the way bottom of the op.
I will do the op tonight for NASL take a break and have fun at columbus motbob
What the fuck are you talking about - I AM the OP. I had those updated as the games were happening. Fuck you for calling me an idiot.

You do it next time then, most people were watching MLG and there was no OP one and a half hours into the stream, and I'm guessing there wouldn't have been one made at all had I not made it (although Primaldog may have as he did a good job helping me with the formatting). I've never done one of these threads before and I actually spent the time and effort into making it, as well as paying attention to the games and updating it as it went. What the fuck were you doing at the time that I should care about how many extra clicks it took for you to get the results.

Yes there were.
Edit: By the way, the results at the VERY bottom were edited in by a mod, thanks for that.

dude chill not my fault you put in so much effort when you could have just copied the format that's been used in pretty much every NASL lr thread. I'm sorry I didn't see the fact that you just put > and < on things instead of putting up the [.b][./b] like everyone else has ever done on this site.
TL is an institution that keeps itself to a higher standard if you arn't ready for people to question your stuff you should try to make stuff on it like OP's. pming any of the other guys for help on how to make the op should have been your first step. the mod edited in the results for that standard that people just expect.
People where watching mlg I should have helped you myself on it I'm sorry I'll do the OP tonight if you don't want to or help you make a better one if you want to to do it again tonight.
