good stuff, especially since there's a lot of gamers who have little to do while they wait for Code B/A/S tourneys to get started.

This was a big source of debate and here is what we came up with. We realize that the Koreans play mainly on GSL maps for the GSL. However we don't want to totally leave our maps out. So it will be a combo of the two, that will likely be a bit more GSL map heavy.

Will that tournament be open or just 32 guys from the teams? A open tournament with a bracket like 256/512 players would be epic... If it succed TL could then make a proper korean qualifiers for TSL4

Being this is our first forray into Korea, and we still don't have an on staff Korean translator at this point it will be teams only. We are hoping to get all the players from all the Korean teams involved. Once we get a few of those down, we MIGHT go open format. We are hoping for around 64 players for each one.

Nice solution!

Did you decide yet how maps will be decided? I mean set maps per round or always veto and ESL system for bo3/bo5 or loser's choice?

In my experience, the veto system always leads to unnecessary confusion we will just have a set map pool per round. This is a TOTAL EXAMPLE, not an actual pool.

Round of 32, BO3: Tal'Darim Altar, iCCup Testbug, GSL Bel'Shir Beach

Round of 16: iCCup Ithica, GSL Terminus SE, GSL Crossfire

Round of 8: iCCup Testbug, GSL Crevasse, iCCup Ithica, Tal'Darim Altar, GSL Bel'Shir Beach

Etc....

You know, you could probably cast live without lag... Unless you have lag so bad you start dropping, there should be no effect on the players at all.

Well right now we don't have the necessary Korean accounts to even do so, but it is something we will be looking at when we get the accounts, because I always assumed we could not do it without casing lag. Thanks for the info Jinro! <3 <3

Nice. That will ensure that we will see all maps

And even if that's an example, I like that you mentioned Ithica. That map, Travin and Starparty V are my favorites from you at the moment.

Wow this is awesome.. Two problems we had going into this; Koreans complain about the lack of tournaments and a complete lack of ICCUP maps being tested by the best of the best. This should be pretty damn awesome. Hope this leads to more new maps being used by tourneys..

Way to work towards solving two problems in one fell swoop guys. Best of luck

there's a bug in the new patch where the other player keeps killing all my dudes.. please nerf this
