- Bo3 v/s Bo1: Proleagues usually function on a Bo1 format because the strenght of the team as a whole -in this format- is more important than the comparison of the individual strenght of the players of the rosters. Supposedly weaker teams can beat team with S-code players thanks to a deeper line-up (impossible here because all teams are limited to 5 players), and more importantly, thanks to intelligent management of their resources. Sending players with a well-thought build to snipe a code-S pro-gamer is an important part of the Proleague format. - 2v2: It sucks. At the same time, it is extremely repetitive (Zerg/terran is by far the best team; you never expand and rely only on one base -per gamer- strategies) and very volatile (cheese everywhere). It seems to be a way to force an ace match.

You can send a player out to snipe someone in a bo3 as well, only it's not as easy to knock a superior player out with pure luck or cheese in a single game. I don't get why team leagues should be viewed differently than 1v1's, bo1's suck in both cases. 2v2 doesn't suck. It's not much more repetative than 1v1 really and just because there is a lot of one base play or "cheese" doesn't mean there can't be fun games. I'd probably have the game as the second or third though but that is a minor point. Also I don't see how the 2v2 is there to "force an ace match." Are you saying the team being under have a given advantage in 2v2's for some reason?

Protoss/Zerg or Protoss/Terran is the best combo. Zerg/Zerg the worst if their early pool doesn't work. And as cheeses go, all is stoppable.

I think it's sad though that the 2v2 is just a Bo1 and no Bo3... =/ Bo1s are just so much more volatile and the 2v2 part is already so slim relatively to the 1v1 content. The worst thing about the state of 2v2 right now is how strong it is dominated by abusive builds and all-ins. Mostly because the rush distances are too small or the maps make it to easy to isolate one player. ZZ actually works better than most Protoss matchups...

I've been saying forever that we need better 2v2 maps. Unfortunatly I'm afraid it will take quite a while until we see those implemented/created.

Between Inside The Game and casting with the likes of Idra, inC, and Painuser... I feel more BLESSED than anything. I swear I could just ask IdrA questions all day about stuff I want to learn more about and it just works out as a good cast ![]() Thanks for tuning in yesterday, tonight is another match-up with IdrA casting!

Keep bringing them content DJWheat! I just wish you had your EG guy talk to other EG guy to avoid scheduling conflict! You have a global audience, there's no reason why everyone is fighting over the same primetime slot.

Can't wait for more 2v2, it's so different from the 1v1's. A nice change of pace considering all the content that is available for Starcraft II these days.
