I want to see cruncher mutilated in this series at the hands of July.
Just sayin'.

Love seeing balanced players beating cheesey or gimmicky players.
Restores some of my faith in SC2.
gimics? when a base trade situations looks like its happening DTs are pretty much standard, incontrol took out the capacity to detect and therefore went for cloaked units. they worked and did a lot of damage. it was an excellent decision Not disputing that it was a good strategy. However incontrol wins more games agaisnt GOOD players with gimmicky play, rather than balanced play. I doubt there is a high rated toss that uses dt's more than him. There is a reason for that. Just stop. He doesn't do gimmicky play, he does builds and play that punish his opponent. Just like in MLG against TLO, when he built the pylon in TLO's base. You call that gimmicky, I call that punishing the opponent for making a mistake. You can call it whatever you like. My point is that he loses to GOOD players way more than he wins when he plays standard balanced play. When he uses gimmicks or cheese he tends to win. This makes him an inferior player., albeit still a good one. Of course he has lots of followers so my views will not be received well.
Going DT's when you've just killed your opponents lair and evo chamber is not a 'gimmick' it's called being a 'good player'. I don't think Inc is the best player in the tourney by any means but I'd definitely put him on the same level as most of the people he's beaten, except maybe ensnare.

So many zvp's today i like i like, so far zergs on top by 1 game, hoping july can pull through against the evil villain cruncher

DT's are not cheese Banshee's are not cheese a pylon hidden in the opponent's main is not cheese they are strategies and are 100% legit are not all ins and don't happen without good economy if you dont scout at all you lose to this just like cheese but the difference is that there is no loss in economy for them at least to me that is the definition of cheese. every race has the ability to have detection by 7 minutes there is no excuse if you lose to them.

Agreed. They are fast and deadly. Great harass unit and even when harass gets denied, it keeps the opponent in their base.

Well...in large numbers (he had like 20 mutas?) the stacking of air units makes a big difference (as well as Inc's units shooting ground). You need HTs or phoenixes I think.

Cruncher loves his Stargate. I called it before the game even started :p

Yea i have noticed that alot of incontrols wins have been from gimmicky or cheesy play overall recently.
Obviously not talking about that series, but overall he can be a pretty cheesy player at times, and so far that has been whats brought him the most success
