Will the Grand masters players have an advantageous position in the open bracket? When will you reveal the price pool distribution? Is IPL for real? I mean with such a big prize pool, is it economical sustainable to continue with IPL3, perhaps, 4, 5 and 6? I wish you good luck as long as it lasts 1) No it will be completely random 2) Soon, I just need the final distribution approved 3) We're for real! If it is completely random some great players will probably meet in the early rounds and knock each other out. But that great player would have a much easy open bracket in the next season, I guess.

Well, we initially considered doing double elimination (and I really wanted to do double elim) but it was going to be an enormous amount of games, so since we have 4 qualifiers, I ended up deciding double elim isn't as important.

Are the qualifying matches going to only be one game, or will they be a Bo3? Or will it depend on how far in the bracket it is? It starts at best of 3. If the players are used to delay and are playing at a high level on the server your league is running on, why would you exclude them? My delay to NA is very minimal, and it doesn't effect the quality of my play because I am used to it.

Because why you might be used to it, the actual lag it could potentially cause others wouldn't be used to. Like I said, we're branching out to EU and LA this time, and will see how many issues are caused by lag and see if we can implement solutions to that so that when we expand to Korea and SEA, we can handle it better. I'm sorry that it means you won't be able to play this time, but this is how we are going to be expanding our roach, slowly and making sure we're doing it the right way for the end user each time, in terms of giving them the best games possible.

Because of the way Battle.net is structured, one person having delay does not mean the other player has it as well. The only possible lag that would be caused on both sides will be connection drop outs or disconnects.

Due to the Server client net code. player A from the USA could have 50ms. and player B from AU could have 250-350 (the average for an australian player) there is no change in the latency for the US player it stays at 50ms. the only time there is lag is if there is packet loss or actual bandwidth limitations. which can happen to anyone, even in the US
