And I can only say that I fully agree with Nazguls last post to IdrA in the original thread. If you haven't read it, then there's a bit of different reasonings for this whole matter. We were told by Colbi that the reason EG could not accomodate us in request of serverswapping was that it'd be logistically too hard to make happen if a player did not own an account on the other servers. A reasoning, I didn't understand, however I can fully understand the perspective that has been brought to attention by IdrA and how you choose to market yourself. But that is just not the reason we were given prior to the official announcement. That's a powerful stance you guys took! Tourney to tourney it's up to the players ![]()

I'm sad that Sen won't be able to play due to the rules. It's somewhat disappointing, but I guess a line has to be drawn somewhere. Is he in Korea? If the issue is lag, I thought I read that lag from SEA regions to NA is not that bad.

(As we can access NA on our SEA SC2 copies, and probably around half of the people here have better latencies to the NA servers than to SEA). We hope in the future to include SEA and Korean players!

It was made pretty clear in that dramafest of a thread that they made a stance for team leagues. In individual leagues, it's up to the individual player if they want to join it or not.

Tourney to tourney it's up to the players ![]() There's a huge difference between a team league where we'd be going into the clan wars with a disadvantage and then for the players to decide whether or not they want to go into an individual tournament like that. I'm sure you understand that. Even though it won't be an issue in this tournament since the rules say, you have to be located in Europe, North- or South America to be eligible to play. Besides that I don't want to hijack the thread of IGN, so let's close the books. Edit: If you want any further explanation, write me a PM or give me a heads up on Skype and I'll gladly follow it up.

The most likely case is that they will consider moving out of Korea, since 1) you can't be in Korea and play in this tournament and 2) there is more money to be had outside of Korea now, with slightly weaker competition. The EG Masters are actually being more flexible than the IPL, since they will allow players living in Korea to participate on the NA server. It makes perfect since that IdrA moved back to the US now.

Please correct me InControl or Alex.IGN if I'm wrong. IPL will be well-produced, high quality tournament, but there will be a significant gap between the games and broadcast. They will also be limiting participants to NA, SA and EU servers for the time being. NASL is a high quality tournament, featuring players from all servers, which will broadcast relatively fresh content on almost a daily basis. Because of this, the broadcast quality and 'finish' of the product may be less consistent and more modest for the time being. To me, both tournaments are great for fans, but I don't think it's fair to say one is automatically better than the other.

I understand a Saturday tends to be the best day, and most open with resources, and im not saying you shouldnt do Saturday tournaments, but restricting them to Saturdays is hard on those with part-time jobs, and youll be able to get a broader base of competition if you alter the days.
