• Account sharing is not allowed, players must own a North American account.
For the main event, especially given the long delay time between matches and broadcast, I hope you are going to provide anonymous accounts to all the players. Without those it's pretty difficult to avoid tournament spoilers. I don't want to have to be careful for a month on the forums.
I visit the Idra fanclub regularly and in season one there were spoilers all over the place. Not just from ill-intentioned people, but from idiots who think that "WOOO IDRA [IPL Spoiler in spoiler tags]" is not actually a spoiler. Instead of being super-excited for Idra in the later rounds of IPL, I'm now just catching the Idra VODs when I have the time.
(PS great job)

Guys, this isn't that complicated. If you live in the EU/LA/NA regions you can play.

I sort of agree, i think that someone who gets top 8 three times is more deserving than someone who gets 4th once, etc

If it is live this time then spoilers are a non issue. As long as there is a delay of a few min to prevent cheating it should be good.

It will not be live, only the qualifiers will be live.

We will be using cloaked maps at least for the actual event and no player will have the full bracket.

For the main event, there is almost a month between playing and finals broadcast. I think they really need to have some system to hide results. If players use their own accounts it will 100% be spoiled.

I think you need both cloaked maps and cloaked accounts. Internet sleuths are pretty smart.

I don't understand this. Some people get chosen to cast, but it isn't livestreamed? It's just VOD uploaded? Sorry Chill I didn't make that very clear. Everyone who gets chosen to stream the qualifiers are totally free to stream on their channels, and we'll pick one person to stream on the IPL channel. Oh okay, I didn't follow that the format had been changed to a live one. The qualifiers are live, the event is not. Okay then I'm back to not understanding. You give replays to 5 casters. One is the featured caster. You stream his games. What happens to the other 4 series from the non-featured casters? Their games just get lost? Maybe I'm slow here. Can you pretend I'm 8 years old and explain it? thx! The qualifiers are not streamed from replays, it's more like a normal event where we empower the casters to jump into any game they want and cast live, using the given overlays. Zero replay casting for the qualifiers. So then their job stops at the online qualifiers? Will there be a separate call for the main event or will you be determining that internally?

I think youre updated notes on the front are good enough. you shouldnt have to keep replying to people who dont want to read that first. Great job so far explaining everything and responding to every msg but I feel like at some point its going to be counter productive.

I hope for the following casters: Day9, Artosis and ofcourse the one and only TOTALBISCUIT!@#@!@!#@!#!@#

That part stops at the qualifiers, but we'll be determining the main event casters from four main factors: past history with casters, our impressions of the casters, community feedback on casters, and palm readings.

this is fucking awesome! season 1 was just impressive! hope 2nd season is even better keep it going guys!

I hope the scheduling conflict with DreamHack wont be a problem. Considering the time between the play dates and broadcast dates it seems a bit unnecessary to choose the same date as another big tourny and simply NOT allow for rescheduling. But I suppose they have their reasons...

We will be working with people who are in both.
