• Player must be in a Master or Grand Master league on the North American, South American or European ladder to participate.
• All games must be played on the North American server for both the qualifier and the main event.

Make sure the GSL maps are the latest versions!! Why no Terminus SE instead of RE they've been using that for a while now?

Whoops, I thought I corrected that, thanks!

So if a Korean player had an account in the Master or Grandmaster league in Europe or NA, are they eligible?

We're limiting it to South America, North America and Europe for now. We want to make sure we have a good playing environment and that means limiting the possibility of lag. We are still taking this slowly and cautiously as we expand, and at some point we want to be inclusive as possible, but for now we are limiting it to those mentioned regions.

Awesome!

I dont think we should complain about NA server right now. As of right now, its not really fair to play cross server and until something is done about that its not fair to the players to have to play cross server.

NVM. Fail post on my part.

Now to add something constructive to this post. I'm looking forward to watching as many of the qualifiers as possible as well as the main event.

Nice to see this get announced and started so quickly after the first. Please do everything possible to keep the Main Event from being spoiled.

Wow, it's exciting to see that you guys are keeping this up! The quality of the production in IPL S1 was fantastic, can't wait to see what you guys have in store for S2.

Other thoughts:
- love the open bracket
- Casting choices great so far
- With the prize pool, seems like you guys are really commiting. Is IGN planning on becomming a central figure for SC2, or - given the MvC3 tourny's i've seen on the site as well - is this part of the e-sports promotional push in general?
- oh yea, get Day[9]!

Thanks & Keep it up!

I don't understand this. Some people get chosen to cast, but it isn't livestreamed? It's just VOD uploaded?

Sorry Chill I didn't make that very clear. Everyone who gets chosen to stream the qualifiers are totally free to stream on their channels, and we'll pick one person to stream on the IPL channel.

Oh okay, I didn't follow that the format had been changed to a live one.

Wish the lag time between the end of the event and the Broadcasting of the event wasn't almost a month.

I really like the production value of IPL 1, but is there anything you can do to cut down the time between event finish and broadcast date?

Good to see IPL has already lined up their Season Two. Looking forward to that high production once again

Although, I'd like to see an exception made for players living in Asia, but who have long played for EU/NA teams, like the Liquid players and Sen, if they're interested. Many of them have shown consistent performance in EU/NA tournaments despite the regional differences and have established channels of communication with the foreigner scene. Still, I understand why IPL is trying to preempt cross-server lag given the issues faced by other leagues.
