It almost got out of control for a while... Personally I'm hoping White-Ra takes it all~

Hi. Is there any chance that the players playing in the rounds can be announced for the tl calendar? http://www.teamliquid.net/calendar/2011/08/#event_5903 Stuff like this is not very useful. I understand that some people may not want to be spoiled but its frustrating to find out who is playing when looking at the TL or IPL calendar when a broadcast is on. The only place to find infomation on which players are playing in a broadcast seems to be the LR thread or the ign website. It is an inconvenience considering GSL NASL and other leagues announce their lineups in the TL calendar.

TB is an entertainer and there is a lot of casual players who like him, but I feel when we are discussing a serious tournament like IPL the official stream should instead feature someone with real insight into the players and matches like Artosis,Day9, DJwheat, etc. TB is a self confessed noob and his place isn't casting these kind of games. I felt extremely alienated when I watched this today as a serious player and all I could hear was TB telling me what I could plainly see. I got banned from the chat for pointing it out because it was filled with TB fanboys who just called me a troll. I'm not saying TB shouldn't cast it. But he should do so on a seperate stream, and give more experienced players some insight into the game with a competent caster on the main stream. I'm not hating on him, but do you really think the caster of a $50k prize tournament should be someone with a series called "I suck at starcraft 2."? I prefer the games going on in the IPL but I'm watching the Blizzard invitational right now anyway just because it has Day9 and JP. Please stop alienating people who are truly interested in E-Sports in favor of people who want to see the flashing lights and listen to TB saying "he is shelling the refinery" while we watch him shelling a refinery.

As far the as TL calendar goes, in order to ensure that our events are on the calendar, we submit them earlier then when we can reveal who is playing in each day. It'd be neat if there was functionality for us to edit our events, but until then we felt that ensuring that we have the calendar events up in time and preventing spoilers are more important then having the player names on the calendar, considering we have live report threads for each day.

Thats understandable but i hope that you will at least do this for the finals because the last IPL finals kind of flew under the radar since there was not much hype and people had no idea who was playing and how they got there.

Most of his commentry is play by play aswell.

I watched half the game with TB casting without him doing anything but shouting what was happening at me. TB = LagTV. Except he's in gold and not diamond like MB..... When I want serious information about important stuff I would watch a news company like the BBC. SxEphill is to those, what TB is to casting. The official and primary news would be something like CNN or BBC, which would be the main stream. These offer insight and knowledge. But if you want to hear the news from SxEPhil or a youtube personality like him you could log onto youtube and watch that also. TB should be casting on his own stream. I don't like how this is mixing, it feels like I'm turning on the TV during an important event and getting Ray William Johnson saying "Hello forum! So there wuz some riots in London and they was like "im rioting lololol" and then someone was like "fake & gay" here is some video with cakes photoshopped onto the heads of all the police".

You say that like being truly interested in E-Sports and enjoying TBs casting are mutually exclusive. I'd disagree with that idea. I follow Esports very closely. I'd like to think I have a strong understanding of the nuances of SC2, and I still love TB. Is his game knowledge the best? Of course not. But the dude is funny and is genuinely excited and enthusiastic every time he casts. He brings good energy to the event. Those are very important traits. I really enjoy every game he does.

If someone doesn't know what those two terms mean, then they should just remain silent because that's how practically all sports broadcasting works.
