I believe they chose the players based on entertainment value. They didn't want to pick a clear favorite like MC, or someone who wouldn't take the NASL seriously like the peeps invited to TSL who didn't prepare for the latency/lag.
Unfortunately in Day 1 we were already exposed to Rainbow's lag-loss, but I'm assuming Ensnare was picked because he's in the oGs house, is in the GSL, and his TvT is amazing and his past games have been very remarkable?
thought it was funny when gretorp said "we're going to go directly into the fifth match" and then it went to a 5 min. intermission. Seems a bit nervous and shaken. Hopefully with more practice he settles down and listens to the constructive criticism out there.

his excitement seems way too fake to me. I'm all for excitement, it's actually a good thing, but when it seems like you force the excitement it makes things awkward and just bad. also the fact he screams into the mic about petty things gets a little annoying.
same goes for incontrol's casting. I know incontrol is supposed to also be witty and spontaneous but he throws out a pun or a metaphor every damn 20 seconds. he throws out the most obscure, senseless stuff out there. I mean, I find inc funny but it gets really old when he does that every 20-30 seconds.
In game sound too low. Caster shows income tab rather than production tab. Occasional missed battles. Gretorp sound is so much louder than other casters I can't find a good volume to listen at. Too much intermission.
They should really take a note out of Dreamhacks/GSL book and do some kind of filler instead of these intermissions. Just some music or anything to keep people listening would be great.

TSL has better production and casters. However, it's TL's 3rd so they've got experience.
NASL is trying though. They may improve with time.
If they aren't competent enough to put out a decent production they shouldn't spend months over hyping the league and charging people $25 for an HD stream.
They made it seem as though the nasl was going to be incredible with never before seen production and quality, but it turned out to be worse than even MLG who at least got the casters right if nothing else.

I totally agree, they did say never before seen production quality and have been hyping it up so much for months, the delivery is really plain and i really hope they improve on it. Its my fault for buying the hd pass before seeing the product though. I think the biggest gripe most people have is the casters, get the casters right and i dont give a crap about production quality as long as i see great games with great commentary.(ie TSL, both decent production and the most fantastic line up of casters you will ever see)
