Enjoyed the first cast, just a couple suggestions that have already been stated before:
- Sound quality / volume balancing: The quality of the mics being used didn't seem that crisp, although video quality was great (paid stream). Volume was all over the place, had to keep adjusting it manually as the commentators would get super loud and then dip back down.
- No breaks: This might be a preference thing but having no breaks inbetween sets of games gives you no time to get a snack or take a bathroom break without missing something.

I really don't want to watch a pre-game show for a 3-4 hour broadcast. Hype the matches in the minutes before it happens, please.

The only thing that bugged me a little was the frame rate seemed a little jerky.
As for the website, I'd love to be able to sort the standings. Like lowest to highest rank, sort by team, etc.
Also, where are you guys finding vods?

What about having 1 division with all koreans. Will solve all the lag issues, and you get the best koreans for the offline event. I know it sounds wierd, but the lagg issues are obviously so severe that it ruins most of the games we are gonna see from them=[

I really think this tournament can't be considered on the same level as the GSL until the lag issue is resolved. I know it's not the NASL guys' fault, and is largely out of their control under the current format, but with that kind of prize pool it might be worth inviting players over rather than having games played overseas.
If a local player wins, people will always have the "it was just because of lag" excuse, and if someone overseas wins, it will further diminish the perceived quality of the scene when players playing without lag can't even win when they have an advantage. It's lose-lose.
If the prize pool and tournament quality are among the best in the world, players will come to play, and there is no need to try to force games with unfavorable conditions. As a viewer, there are enough tournaments around the world where the players are on an even playing field, and as much as I'd like the NASL to succeed, I'm not interested in watching players compete when one has a fundamental advantage.

while that would solve the lag problem, it would be considered "fixing" the brackets because all the koreans would be forced to eliminate each other early on.

I don't see it that way, more like you'd get the best from each region.

Ok. They really need to have lower quality videos.... I'm on crappy internet in Poland and it's taken me pretty much all day to buffer 2 parts of the video. I can watch HQ GOM VODs without the need to buffer.... That makes this a huge problem.

I don't care about the lag, except for the affect on my viewing experience of it. It was explicit before that it was run in NA and that lag would be an issue before KR/EU players decided to join. It's their problem to over come, and hopefully having them in doesn't ruin the over all experience like Morrow/Rainbow g2 was. If that becomes a consistent theme when KR/EU players involved then well, they shouldn't be in the league.

Why did the European Stream already start? Or is this right now only the "prepreshow"?
Cause it should start in half an hour.. O.o

I completely disagree. Just show the matches. If you want hype, watch a pregame show. The way they did it was fantastic, it was game after game after game, pure entertainment, I didn't feel like any of my time was wasted at all (unless you count Rainbow's last game, but thats Bnets fault).

I understand your perspective, but if the tournament wants to have prestige on the same level as other international tournaments, this attitude doesn't work. NA already has a reputation as the weakest of the three primary SC2 regions (KR, EU, NA) and if they essentially make it impossible for other players to compete on even footing in what has potential to be its flagship league, it will make it even harder to shake that reputation, especially if a non-NA player ends up winning the tournament despite the lag.

Grubby vs Moon on now, one hour earlier than the events calender.

Watching the Europe restream right now. The game started 10 minutes too fast?
Also it is extremely laggy. But I am afraid to watch in this thread because I want to avoid spoilers... Are we allowed to make a new thread for Europeans watching the stream?
Also: I actually bought the pass, would it be smarter for me to watch the VODS? Because those can load in.

stream lagging/going down, quite strange with 1200 people watching
|
|
Please move camera and list the production down.. do not focus on only nexus.. check game 2 between moon and grubby...

They aren't going to post them to their website? o.O
Err, I guess that's not really a question you can answer.
