which is why it's great that tyler takes the time to answer in LR threads. He's pretty much just saying what's on everybody's mind that aren't unreasonably biased towards idra/zerg. Thanks tyler^^
Hoping that sjow wins vs whitera, even though I'm a huge whitera fan but we've seen him vs. mc twice in a short time period now and would really like to see where sjow stands in regards to MC.

Idra is a tournament player; they have plenty of experience with going on tilt. They will and do plan their games beforehand. He was always going to 6-pool on Xel'Naga, win or lose the first game. No way Idra actually has the plan to 6pool before a series starts. Especially on XelNaga. He planned to 6pool Jinro in gsl that's very different, we're talking about ZvP on a 2-player map. P is always going to scout at 9, that's not going to work. No one would ever plan a 6pool there.

It's not the second game that martyr's him... IdrA "rushed" the Spire and greater Spire so he didnt have time to upgrade armor for the Broodlords. This is bad against Stalkers with +3 attack upgrade and he kinda had to use the Broodlords right after they were done.
IdrA didnt really do any harrassing and most of the time the harrassing player wins. Taking down the 3rd base with an army isnt harrassing, warping in five Stalkers from a Warp Prism to take down Drones or using Phoenix / Void Ray to snipe Queens is ...
Metalopolis is always called a "map which is good for Zerg", but is it really good if you fight on the long lanes which are really drawn out chokepoints and which favor area attacks from Colossi and the use of Forcefields?
Just a few common sense reasons why it wasnt "Zerg being UP" which made IdrA lose the first game.

Would actually love to see Idra get some mental coaching. His mental condition really holds him back and affects his results. Less anger is needed T_T

I just dont see how imbalance caused blink stalkers to beat broodlords and colossus/high templars to beat hydra? Why cant we just watch and enjoy the tournament, I felt like the metalopolis game was a fun back and forth game to watch. Seems like no one can win or lose anything these days without people crying.

I wish they would just start the next game so we could move on. :/

U mad you're race is getting exposed as being OP while you still aren't getting tourney results??? Do you even know who you are talking to? During the entire time Protoss was considered underpowered last year, Nony didn't even complain ONE BIT, even in the STOG's, he was convinced that game wasn't developed and that is what he said to one of the questions in a STOG long ago, something about how Protoss need to figure out safer methods of playing protoss was never considered underpowered
There was a short period where alot of protoss were complaining that gateway units were underpowered. Remember the constant complaints about stalker DPS? And then MC came along and showed all the noobs that gateway units are actually ridiculously strong.

Only the protoss are arguing against it, he isn't a martyr, he literally can not win. Like I said before, MC said he will never lose to a zerg, unless they nerf. When the best protoss player literally says I like the nerfs because I want to win fairly, you have to believe it. if you cant see how idra could have won game 1, you are lost All I can see is the same situation happening over and over again in PVZ ( zergs losing from a 80 supply lead), and it doesn't matter if its mc or cruncher or jackdoane the surfist.

We can all agree that Idra made 1 huge mistake at the end that lost the game, but I think the problem some people have, you can't punish a protoss for making the same mistake. Idra stayed ahead of MC the entire game until HT came out... How is Idra supposed to win on Meta with the small chokes(Forcefield) and blink (for maybe drops)? You can't break a protoss with a 3 forcefield wide choke and collosus.
have you even seen the game? he ran them in one by one AND positioned one queen outside of the spore crawler range.
how could idra have won? put some pressure on mc, improve unit mix, dont become greedy with the bl's and position them more properly.

cant wait for SotG tonight now, rofl... idra and inc are going to go at it i havea feeling.

guys Idra did not throw the bloody game.. He knew how difficult MC was, especially on Xel Naga, and took a chance at the 6-P
Stop saying he threw the game. Yeah his frustration and fatigue from the first game prolly contributed to his choosing to 6-P, but by no means did he throw the game. Naga is bloody hard vs MC as zerg. no denying that. He took a chance and it failed

The funny thing is Idra must justify his attitude/behavior around his mental block vs. Toss based on the belief the game is imbalanced... If I'm Blizzard watching this, and had a balance patch/idea in mind, I'd delay just to continue to see Idra self-destruct granted it makes a good storyline for the competitive scene (see MLG, and now Dreamhack). I know I'd tune in 'just to see what Idra does this time', I don't of course - I tune in to cheer him and others on - but I know people who do.

hey does any1 know if there are vods / replays of dreamhack ? and where to find them...
@ game : im really disappointed with idra. not because he lost to MC ( in a tenser game1 when it looked like in the final fight, just horrible micro by idra ), but because he is so faithless. he repeatingly throws away games with stupid cheese, just to send stupid messages around, like : "omg see how imba Terran / Protoss is".
really really bad attitude. i liked the dude besides all his BM, but slowly he is turning me off. you cant be pissed because of losing a single game vs the momentary best player in the world.

Bracket with flames and crowd in the background.. DH production is blowing anything I have seen from other SC2 tournaments away.. I even enjoy the breaks in between games..
