We offer our sincere apologies for the issues you experienced last night and are continuing to experience. More than twice the number of people we expected, from 128 countries, have tuned in to watch the Dallas event. We were simply underprepared for the epic traffic. Our tech teams have been working tirelessly all night to improve the stability of the site and streams to give you the best possible viewing experience. We have optimized and expanded our infrastructure and the broadcast continues to improve. We are continuing to monitor the system to make enhancements so you can keep watching. For those that purchased HQ passes for Dallas, we will be providing you with free passes to watch the HQ streams of our Columbus Pro Circuit Tournament on June 3-5. We will follow up with you individually with more details. We know that you deserve the best broadcast possible and we want to bring that to you. We are constantly evolving our streams and offerings to ensure that we deliver all the live action and excitement that takes place at our Pro Circuit Competitions. Please continue to bear with us as we repair the issues, and thanks for your patience. This would be a perfectly valid excuse of not for the fact that it happens every single time. I suppose it is possible the viewer count really does keep growing exponentially but I find that rather hard to believe. Especially since if that was the case you'd know that the viewer numbers keep growing exponentially... >_< Just admit you cut corners and hope people will keep forgiving you. The sad thing is I really wanted to watch these matches. I've been looking forward to it for a month! But now MLG is almost forcing me to turn it off in protest, to make them realise it's been ran absolutely inexcusively bad.

Destiny is in as Steven Bonnell II when his in game and ROOT name is Destiny. huk is GoSuHuk? (it looks like the rest of the team is sporting the Liquid tag) kiwikaki, slush (slush450?), and sundevil don't have the ROOT tag while catz and drewbie do. Idra isn't sporting EG while the rest are. Doesn't it help "brand" players and their teams if they always use the tag and/or at least always use the same name? What if VileHawk and Destiny go far? They'll be known as Hawk248 and Steven_Bonnell_II unless told by the commentators. Casual viewers won't even know they were on a team or who they "really" are. I guess it gets to me because it's "eSports" and uniformity is one of the first things comes to me as a spectator. It just feels unorganized and "weird" to me ![]() It's probably not that big of a deal for everyone here, were all pretty hardcore about it but from a casual viewers perspective you'd think it would be hard to follow your favorite players. These players aren't deliberately forsaking their better-known handles to slight their teams or go "rogue" or anything like that. These are the names they made years and years back when they first created their mlg.com accounts. Sure, they could petition to mlg and ask to change their account names, but it is honestly not that important when that bracket is just there to indicate where they are in the bracket.

Its because in the brackets they have to use the ID they use on the MLG website. Its not like they are deliberately not supporting their teams geez

Not to say that this is a good thing but when the players register they give them selves their names, when huk went to the first mlg he wasn't on liquid, and destiny registered him self as steven bonnel ii
