[NASL] Players (final) - Page 8
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

But I fully support the Cruncher invite. I can already bet in the end he will be better than 50 % of the NA players invited. Imo he is atm the second best protoss in NA (after kiwikaki, Huk not counting because he is in Korea). Who's third?

Maybe they had it in their heads that the player list would come out and it would mirror the GSL Code S/A lists with those who didn't apply being replaced with TL/ogs/root members but I personally didn't expect much. Their initial announcement suggested a limit on Korean players and while they've gone back on that I still don't expect this to be a Korean-dominant tournament. Referencing the preview video is also foolish as it's obviously just marketing hyperbole. Exactly what I've been trying to tell people. It's like they are blind to the world and see/hear what they want to believe.

Least tournament wins, least recent tournament results, least prize money won, second least ELO rating out of these 15. Which on the one hand just shows how strong the rest of the lineup is, but does raise questions about his credentials on the other. His video was awesome, though. >_> edit: I personally think Fenix is in a bit of a slump. If I had to name the weakest player out of the first 15, I'd say Fenix, then qxc.

Given NASL's multi-announcement history, you can't honestly expect them to put out the biggest players in the first announcement, can you? Though given that we got a lot more players than we were expecting in the first place and most of them seem quite solid, I'm not going to complain. Here's hoping iNcontroL gets in so he can lose to EG.Machine in the first round of a major tournament again, lol.

![]() People are hating on the player choice rather thn hoping for good games.... I could care less if it's MC vs MVP if Cruncher and KawaiiRice can put up a game that's just as good

Their success and money is on the line here, not ours. And when someone they invited is indeed to weak, well than he will drop out of the league after the first season. Therefore I believe we should cut back on the criticism, and evaluate the players after the first season. I fully support that

As for the results results results, there are probably not even 50 players in the foriegner scene who have won a minor tournament (1k dollars+) so thats just stupid. edit: all of these players have done at least well in minor-major tournaments (top 4, finals, etc, if not winning outright)

And same for cloud has he done good in any bigger tournaments? I don't hear much about him in terms of tournaments. And then Cruncher as well those 3 are my only questionable invites ^^. If you dont know anything about the players, why critisize them? At least take a look at TLPD, cant be too difficult. Clouds biggest achievements were probably winning Fnatic Play Sc2 Open quite recently (quite high profile tourney with top players) and second in German EPS (ahead of players like Demuslim, Goody, Hasuobs, Darkforce).

Cool to see that 3 out of 4 of the Germans I wanted in this league are already in. Now the NASL only needs Goody the King and my German dream team is complete ![]() I'm a little bit skeptical about some of the NA invites (namely Cruncher and CatZ) who I don't think are on the level of European pros at all. I'm aware that it's the North American Star League, but tbh I hope NA and EU can work together here and you choose the best foreigners and not too many NA players just because they are from NA. And @ people who say Cloud is bad. Lol, you don't have any idea about Cloud then obviously. And Darkforce is easily top5 EU Zerg and there are not so many good Zergs to choose from on EU/NA so it's kind of a given to invite him. And I will say this again: Goody the King must be invited to this! NASL can't be big without the Panzergeneral :D I'm sure this has been stated before, but Cruncher has done quite well especially against europeans.. beat Sjow in bo7 show match beat Kas and Strelok in the recent Justin.tv invitational

"BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD" I think we all remember that. None of us are asking for a Korean dominated tournament, but almost completely excluding them turns the NASL into the North American Average Player Starleague. If players like Darkforce, Catz, Cruncher and KawaiiRice get in, I also expect Nestea, July, MC, MVP, Boxer and Nada.

The nature of sport and competition is to find out whose the best and have them play each other. If you think sc2 is about entertainment, you are saying its like WWE but I respect the game too much, I would liken it to tennis or wrestling: furious, competitive sport. And as a spectator I want to see the best of the best. edit - I do like the NASL invites for the most part actually.
