[NASL] Players (final) - Page 6

Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied.

Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

Is Grubby good enough (haven't watched him stream enough) to play in NASL? If so we need Moon vs. Grubby

Lol Haypro is in, so surely any other liquid member who applied is pretty much in, and Kawaiirice who as recently as a few weeks ago stated that he can NOT beat protoss's with the least bit of consistency is in (no less, in the same group as haypro). There are going to be some major major players that are left off this list at this rate.

Moon won IEM so why not invite him lol, plus he's the biggest WC3 draw you could imagine save for maybe grubby.

Darkforce is legit, pretty much any top european player I believe deserves to go over many top NA players, especially ones that place in the top 3 consistently in the bevy of european cups/tournaments.

Cruncher is anothe rinteresting choice, he's done his thing in the one TLopen to qualify, but after that i mean its not like he enters many tournaments, his style is very strong to just outright defeat people, he's a good player, but is he top 50?

Btw, Moon did not win IEM. It was ST.Ace with Moon coming in at 2nd place.

I don't think he is good enough, but holy shit is he ever improving fast! Few more months and he should be competing with the top players.

Also guys, don't forget that there are a total of 10 groups. So the 15 don't have to be distributed in those 5.

Uhh, if we're taking into consideration the best of the best, I'm not sure he would be top 50, but due to him being Grubby and the fact that some of the people who we know that are invite haven't accomplished THAT much in sc2 I have a feeling he can make it. Skill wise I think he is improving everyday and really favors his blink stalker micro.

Not a bad list, although considering the quality of the applicants, I'm scared they might be forced to leave out some big names.

They would've been forced to do that anyway. No way they would have been able to appease everyone.

There are a lot of fans out there cheering for their favourite player. Certainly, more than 50 of the applicants have a sizable fanbase. Someone was going to be unhappy no matter what. :D

I'm afraid that we will see very few koreans in the league if only Moon was in the first 15. They are probably only taking the very known koreans (like MC, NaDa, and BoxeR) and going with more NA/EU players. I remember on State of the Game (or somewhere else) that they wanted this to reach mainstream on the levels of American football and I guess that they believe that more English speaking players would help the league. It just shows that while teamliquid will make up the initial crowd that they are trying to aim for, we are not the primary audience. This is evident by the poll done in that one thread that shows that the majority of teamliquid would want top players even if it meant that there are fewer numbers of NA/EU players. Quite frankly I am disappointed in some of the players that are listed so far.

This is a pretty awful group of 15 players for a tournament that advertised itself as having "The best players in the world."

Concerning the fact, that you PunkinDog are already crying that they are fucking it up and comparing them to GOM.

There is nothing we are seeing form the NASL so how should they show you that they are improving?
These 15 players are highlevel. Darkforce is the BEST German Zerg player and consistenly places high in the EU Go4SC2 cups. Socke is a beast in PvP and beat Squirtle 4 out of 6 times.

And calling these players awful, maybe they are the worst players in the league? Who knows?
This are only 15 out of 50(!). So still enough room for July, MC, Nada etc.

Just Chill dudes!

Oh yeah, very true. :p Poor Ace!

That said, change my "winning" to "finishing ahead of" and it still stands. :D

I'm happy so far.

As long as Artosis gets a spot.

I think Cruncher is an OK choice if their plan is to NOT invite every single Korean who applied. Cruncher would be in the top 30 or 40 of non-Korean applicants we know of, it's just there's 20+ Korean players on the list better than him (probably).

If it really does take off on a wide scale, then Koreans would come over, beast the qualifiers, and win everything.

Half of the players from this morning's GSTL could destroy that whole list. Best players in the world......

I'm done. Probably gonna be banned anyway. Glad some of you got my point, though.

M..Moon?

1 of 15 koreans you are correct at the time I incorrectly thought moon was chinese

35 spots still open, leaves enough space for plenty more.

From the NASL web site:

"We knew we had to go big or go home. We needed an epic prize pool. We needed the best players."

Why do I get the feeling that these people are just sitting back having a laugh at our expense? Everything they have done so far, is so low-rent, its almost embarrassing. The web site is a fucking joke. HIRE SOMEONE! Please dont fuck up esports, you jerks. Cant you do anything with this that comes off as first class?

NASL = NOT ABOUT SUCKING LESS.

C'mon man, don't be a turd.

400k prize money, and those 15 players would make for a stacked tournament all of their own.

No, of those 15 the players that are MUST watch IMO are Moon, Idra, and maybe Kiwi.

Justin.TV invitational on SC2CASTS.com has about an equal lineup, so far.

July, Boxer, Nada, MC, (even Ace) all have better credentials that those chosen so far.
(so do Top, Ensnare, Squirtle, Rainbow)...

Oh so you want the GSL?

I don't know why so many people have a problem with the invites. ClouD is a real pro gamer in the moment, Darkforce Top 3 Zerg in Europe for a long time. Don't know much about Cruncher, but it is a American league after all and he is besides qxc the only American that did qualify (via TLOpen) for TSL.

Well he seems pretty good. Some few mistakes here and here but he is good.

the only suspect player so far is Cruncher, which is meh. There are some few "weaker" players but I don't think its TOO TOO bad.

I think what they will do is take Koreans with foreigner connections. Obviously Moon being very familiar with the foreigner scene is an easy choice.

I think other obvious choices are: Boxer, MC, some other oGs guys, some of the ST guys (Ace and Squirtle for coming to IEM). Not many Koreans applied, its basically just Boxer, Moon, oGs, and ST.
