Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied.

Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

Dunno why Darkforce or Cruncher are in, I'll wait till I see the whole list to cast judgement, but they just haven't done much to impress me.

DarkForce is a very good player. If you took the top 50 of the applicants, unless you included all of the Koreans he would certainly deserve a spot. Cruncher.. I don't really know much about him, but winning a TLOpen (more importantly, one of the TSL qualifiers) suggests he's legit.

I had actually never heard of him before, but if you take a look at all the other TSL qualifier winners, you see that winning one wasn't easy. Besides Cruncher, the only people I was somewhat "surprised" at winning were ThorZaIN and NightEnd - and ThorZaIN just beat Fruitdealer, and NightEnd lost 1-2 to BoxeR.

I quite like the first invites (speaking about the 15, assuming they are correct). It shows that they won't "skimp" on the Europeans just because it's the North American Star League, and the inclusion of Moon shows that they won't ignore Koreans either. I'm pretty sure that at the very least we'll see BoxeR, NaDa, July and MC also make it in. They can't deny them entrance and stay legitimate, I feel.

The only people on that list I'd consider top 50 are IdrA Naniwa Moon and MAYBE Haypro...

The web site is a fucking joke. HIRE SOMEONE! Please dont fuck up esports, you jerks. Cant you do anything with this that comes off as first class?

NASL = NOT ABOUT SUCKING LESS.

Yeah you fucking jerk assholes, don't fuck up esports. Fucking putting on tournaments with 400k prize pool. Jerks!!!

A large prize pool does NOT make a professional tournament, OR promote esports. Looks like a lot of you got fooled. If the tournament turns out to be a big cluster-fuck, who cares about how much money was paid out. It wont do anything but insure that nobody ever puts up that kind of money again. The large prize pool should INSURE they get the small things right. But, up to this point, you have to wonder what they are doing. If not, you're just a fan boy, not a serious supporter of esports.

LOL.

That's not what I was addressing. I wouldn't have posted anything about your post if you didn't include the "Please dont fuck up esports, you jerks." line. I don't like they're current website it's bad. I thought the showmatch could have gone much better. They're said that they have the real website coming and that the showmatch didn't indicate their production values for NASL. I'll continue to provide criticism until that is unveiled and it shows they're correct and can provide those production values. I have zero problem with you pointing out things they're doing poorly.

However, when you, someone who has done shit for anyone in esports includes lines like the one I indicated above and suggests the whole thing is just some bad joke, that's just laughable. You literally accused them of potentially fucking up esports and being jerks. Seriously?

When your response to all the critisism they have recieved in the last month amounts to "LALALALALALALA", then yeah, they are jerks. Look at GOM. Every single complaint against them has been addressed almost immediately. They listen. You know why? They are a business! They cant afford to fuck shit up. All they do, is get better and better and better. Even with Kelly (god love her) she's out.

I have not seen, heard or read ONE WORD, that suggests these guys know what the fuck they are doing.

Catz is Catz, glad he made it. I definately think Cloud, Cruncher and Darkforce are the three questionable ones at the moment. I want to see how things develop because those three immediately seem like they should have gone to A) Koreans or B) Fan-favorites like Artosis.

Lol Haypro is in, so surely any other liquid member who applied is pretty much in, and Kawaiirice who as recently as a few weeks ago stated that he can NOT beat protoss's with the least bit of consistency is in (no less, in the same group as haypro). There are going to be some major major players that are left off this list at this rate.

Moon won IEM so why not invite him lol, plus he's the biggest WC3 draw you could imagine save for maybe grubby.

Darkforce is legit, pretty much any top european player I believe deserves to go over many top NA players, especially ones that place in the top 3 consistently in the bevy of european cups/tournaments.

Cruncher is anothe rinteresting choice, he's done his thing in the one TLopen to qualify, but after that i mean its not like he enters many tournaments, his style is very strong to just outright defeat people, he's a good player, but is he top 50?

Guys if people make this list it means they are doing something right. It's really tough chosing something like this, as you could easily make a tournament with 100 players that are at this level right now. Let's just appreciate everything thats going on and expect some gg's.

And obviously the solution to this is to call them jerks who are ruining esports. Even if they have zero clue what they're doing, how in the fuck are they jerks who are ruining esports? So if the NASL fails and a couple of new people who don't have a lot of experience decide they want to try to make a big esports event in NA, you would rather they didn't do anything at all?

Moon has a big following in the overall e-sports community because of his successful Warcraft III background.

'Cause he's a god at WC3, and his SC2 has actually been starting to look quite good. He has a HUGE fan base. I'm quite excited about his choice, certainly more than some of the other names.

I don't get that logic. The people that make this list are chosen by other people. They both (i.e the players and the selection committee) could be doing something wrong.

Nothing wrong with criticizing the selections.

To be fair, KawaiiRice says something self-deprecating every time he opens his mouth, and has been that way since BW.

I don't agree with PukinDog's tone but NASL do need to start getting their act together as far as the presentation goes because everything so far has been second-rate, which reflects poorly on the tournament itself.

Interesting...
Well, I'm sad to say but these first names don't excite me at all. I really hope the NASL invites some koreans or I might not be watching it at all, a foreigner only tournament without the world's best players just doesn't seem too interesting to me, story lines or not.

Moon won a tournament with

Fenix Idra White-Ra Moonglade Morrow qxc Sjow Socke

If that doesn't qualify you for a Top 50 spot in NASL then I don't now what does. :lol
