[NASL] Players (final) - Page 7
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

No, he wants a tournament of highly skilled players. You know, the best players in the world?

I think what they will do is take Koreans with foreigner connections. Obviously Moon being very familiar with the foreigner scene is an easy choice. I think other obvious choices are: Boxer, MC, some other oGs guys, some of the ST guys (Ace and Squirtle for coming to IEM). Not many Koreans applied, its basically just Boxer, Moon, oGs, and ST. ya but the thing is count those ones up with all the good foreign clans and u got well over 50....

I hadn't heard of him at all before the TLOpen he won, but he's definitely someone who has put up some results lately. Probably one of the better NA players out there atm (which is obviously why they've chosen him). Maybe some of the other TL players have to fear for their spot now. :o

I myself am normally quite critical of NA players (more of a "Euro strong!!" guy). But I fully support the Cruncher invite. I can already bet in the end he will be better than 50 % of the NA players invited. Imo he is atm the second best protoss in NA (after kiwikaki, Huk not counting because he is in Korea). I could be critical of some of the other invites, but I wont. Everybody has his own opinions on players, but in the end its NASLs responsibility to do the invites. Their success and money is on the line here, not ours. And when someone they invited is indeed to weak, well than he will drop out of the league after the first season. Therefore I believe we should cut back on the criticism, and evaluate the players after the first season.

Well Haypro placed 4'th in a lan. But if your saying haypro I would say catz? Maybe I just haven't watched but has he done good in any recent tournaments? And same for cloud has he done good in any bigger tournaments? I don't hear much about him in terms of tournaments. And then Cruncher as well those 3 are my only questionable invites ^^.

But...for all the hype I have to say am a little disappointed by how low key this announcement has been, Surely this is a massive opportunity to really sell the NASL? - Perhaps this is still yet to come? I hope so...whether it be on SOTG or some sort of decent feature on their website as opposed to just a list of 15 players on the home page. The List of players is decent but I guess their has to be some question marks when its billed as the 50 greatest players participating? Also coming out with some more Big names on the intial 15 players might have got the excitement levels raised little? Regardless of how its done I will still be buying the premium package and watching the NASL every night, but one just can't help but feel a little deflated by the manner their going about it so far....

Cool to see that 3 out of 4 of the Germans I wanted in this league are already in. Now the NASL only needs Goody the King and my German dream team is complete ![]() I'm a little bit skeptical about some of the NA invites (namely Cruncher and CatZ) who I don't think are on the level of European pros at all. I'm aware that it's the North American Star League, but tbh I hope NA and EU can work together here and you choose the best foreigners and not too many NA players just because they are from NA. And @ people who say Cloud is bad. Lol, you don't have any idea about Cloud then obviously. And Darkforce is easily top5 EU Zerg and there are not so many good Zergs to choose from on EU/NA so it's kind of a given to invite him. And I will say this again: Goody the King must be invited to this! NASL can't be big without the Panzergeneral :D

TWITTER. That is SO weak. So, if you dont follow them, HOW DO YOU SEE IT? Oh yeah, you can go to the (looks like designed in Front Page) web site, and wait for the lame music to load 90 seconds after the page completes, like a boss, and learn PARTIAL INFORMATION. Oh yeah, they got it wired, baby.

How about an announcement, done professionally, that draws attention to your event, without making you look like jerks? That is what I am talking about, fanboys. This. So fucking hard I agree with this. The production levels have really got me worried. Sure, I was willing to cut them slack for Clash of the Titans being unpolished, but they've had weeks to get their act together. See all the arguing, bitching and general commotion about which players were picked? That is because all we have are a few names. If a page was thrown up that included: the players picked so far, their pictures, their application vods, and a paragraph explaining the choice I feel like the community would be way more excited. At the very least Xeris could have made a fancy post on TL with the 5 players, and then updated the site a few hours later. My faith is starting to wobble. Please NASL, get your act together. I want this to be awesome so badly.
