Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

You guys keep mentioning that ViBE doesn't deserve a spot in NASL, however, he gained over 12k votes... Those votes clearly indicate that people want to see him in NASL.

Voting was rigged.

All the top NA/EU players have absolutely been invited or will be invited assuming they applied in the first place. Obviously there's some subjective involved, however, especially once you move past the top 20 or 30.

How disappointing that DIMAGA is pretty much denied a spot because his video was a day or two late. He's basically top 5 Zerg outside of Korea and the list of Zergs accepted so far is uninspiring in comparison with the P and T.
Here's hoping that the next Zerg invites include Morrow/Ret or some established Koreans.

On March 27 2011 05:20 Chriscras wrote: We aren't claiming that Koreans are dominating!!
It's that the NASL preemptively believed that Koreans WOULD dominate and therefore didn't allow them to play in the tournament.
That's just wrong on so many levels... If you can't understand that, then you don't value watching a world class tournament like the TSL or the GSL over the joke that the NASL may quickly become.
When and where did NASL state that belief exactly?

Dimaga is ofically out =[ man that sucks, but I guess that happens if your one man team doesnt have appointed coach or manager.

ViBE's votes were rigged? You sure? Xeris said that he got the serverhosts of the poll check on the voting system to see if they were being hacked or w/e. They took off all the "dishonest" votes, which belonged mostly to avilo. I dont really see why u think this happened to everyone..

I follow sc2 really closely, never even heard of Vibe.
Also the guy making the groups are doing a pretty horrible job. Todays best player announced was prob dewbie, and he also went into group 5......

So you'd heard of him? Because I've watch and played SC2 daily since the beta, and I've no idea what race he plays, where he's from, or what team he's on.
Where's
DESTINY... Minigun?
I don't think it matters.... NASL has crushed my hopes with today's picks.
That plus.... the fact that FXOpen had an AMAZING international lineup last night... without 2 months of hype, makes me realize that I'm going to get what I want anyways.... just not from NASL :D
The ONLY thing that is making NASL everyone wet dream is the prize money.. as a tournament and a production it is just on par with what else is already out there.
FXO is gonna crush NASL.....

That's really funny. You're either lying about one of the two. Even all the people arguing that ViBE doesn't deserve a spot are implying that they have heard of ViBe before.
Edit: I'm out of this thread lol. We're just all wasting time if we continue to argue.

Well, tbh I've only vaguely heard of him, if you'd ask me what race he plays, I'd be absolutely clueless. If he's a NA player that could somewhat explain it, I guess. Even then I know guys like Minigun/Drewbie etc.

On SotG Russel from nasl said that the reasons for limiting korean player participation were primarily latency. And I think the TSL has convincingly proven latency is indeed a huge issue for an online tournament.
It's amazing how hard it is for some people to grasp this.
Why would the lag in Korea be any more difficult to overcome than the lag from Europe.
Why? Distance perhaps, lack of infrastructure or whatever. I don't know the specifics but it is a fact that NA to Europe barely lags at all while korea to NA or EU both lag considerably.

I am shocked that Dimaga wasn't even sent an invite

So glad Artosis got in!!!
Artosis hwaiting!!!!

am i the only one who isn't hyped at all about NASL? watching koreans play is so much more fun.

Listen, its not about inviting Koreans. Everyone who says you shouldn't invite ANY Koreans is clearly being disingenuous about hosting a tournament with the best players "in the world."
The problem with NASL - as of the first 35 picks - is that the only Koreans announced have been Moon and Ace. They were clearly picked because of their success at IEM, but why pick Koreans based on a IEM and not based on their placement in the GSL (Ace and Moon fell out of Code A).
It's because NASL either is uninformed about who the best Koreans are or are DELIBERATELY holding back the number of WORLD CLASS Koreans in order to direct the final 16 to heavily favor NA and EU players.
That's just wrong and reflects poorly on how the overall tournament is going to be run.
