Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't. |

-Root had 5 before QXC left (fairly confident he was with root when he signed the contract) -Liquid only entered 4 -No other non-korean clans are even close to having 5 worthy candidates. (maybe mauz, but Naama didn't apply)
..Or were you wanting the dumb answer to go along with the dumb question? In which case, the answer is OMG COLLUSION INCONTROL IS THE MASTERMIND OF NASL AND PUT ALL HIS BUDDIES IN AND SCREWED EVERYOEN ELSE.
As far as your edit - Xeris clearly explained the picking process in depth about a dozen pages back, going well beyond the call of duty. Can't believe people feel entitled to have each choice scrutinized and bitch about it.. If you don't like a choice, start your own league, gather up a 400G prize pool, and invite only the people you want. Or, just wait and watch the lower people drop out and new, better players qualify in for next season..

This is ridiculous, you must be trolling. There is EVERYTHING not true about it, and judging from the response you got, you are the one in the minority.
Anyway, enough troll feeding.

Why did Artosis make it through? While I love him, I thought being on a team was a prerequisite to being considered for the NASL.

Artosis is on a team, like MM or something I believe, not entirely sure.

Thanks for the very transparent explanation of players Xeris, I think too often in esports things are "hidden" or not supposed to be talked about publicly which can make the whole enterprise appear as shady in some aspects. Nice to see transparency out of the NASL. Great last round of players picked, only thing I would say is if there is ever a few at a time selection reveal again don't dump all the borderline players into one reveal; spread them out over several.

Does everyone realize how big e-sports can get in the NA if this booms?
It will be huge, it's getting huge as we speak.
It's a list of 50 people. Unfortunately that means not every top player can get it.
They need to make money off it as well. So not only do they invite top players, but people the community favorites.
If there are players that don't belong, then they will be weeded out pretty fast. They may have taken your favorite players spot, but there's always next season, and if they really deserve to be there, then they will probably be able to get through using the qualifier. I'm not sure how well I would have done if they threw me in there now. I can't say I would be confident playing someone like ogsmc in a tournament. Although I would love the chance too (favorite protoss player <3)
Nasl is a business. I want to watch it grow. Am I little disappointed I didn't get in? Ofc..but will there be other chances to get in, other turnys (especially if the NASL takes off) ? Yes.
Starcraft 2 is so close to becoming huge in the NA. Instead of negatively criticizing one of the first businesses to actually try and expand E-sports in the west. Lets give it our unconditional support. Starcraft 2 can be huge, but only if the community supports it.
Buy your ticket, sit back, with some food and coke, and enjoy the show. I know I will.
Oh btw, thanks for the support to me guys, it means a lot. Best post I've seen in a long time. Particularly the bolded part. lol, are you kidding? That reasoning is fucking stupid. I'm not going to offer my "unconditional support" to everyone and everything that attaches the esports banner to their name, fuck that. They're running a business and, like any other business, if they want my money they've got to earn it. So far the NASL has been a disorganized mess at almost every juncture, so I'll be keeping my money in my pocket when the premium service opens up until I see SOMETHING to suggest these guys actually know what they're doing. What I'd like to see is them taking the valid criticism on board (of which there's plenty) and using it to improve the product they're trying to sell. Unfortunately I see little evidence of this happening as much of the criticism that was sent their way after the disasterous Clash of the Titans showmatch remain as valid as ever.
You are acting like 20$ is a big deal, come on, 20$ to help out esports AND get 3 months worth of games?!
I'll easily donate 20$, or even better pay 20$ and get a whole lot of stuff for it.
It's 20$, not a new car.

Overall, I think the list is pretty balanced in terms of skill/popularity/regional factors. The only thing that kind of troubles me, and I am not sure of how this was done or under what constraints NASL has, but it seems like a lot of the technicalities with the applications may have been communication errors. For a new league with new admins, a few taps on the shoulder might be needed to get the attention of various pro teams. And if this was done and the fault lie on the teams side, then disregard this critique. Its just kind of frustrating (pretty much inevitable I guess) when 50 top players have to be pulled from such a massive group with still more being either late or messing up the application.
Hope this NASL kicks ass though because I really think maybe even opening it up to 64 or more players and giving more time for teams to organize around it would produce prolific results. Good Show overall though.

I've had ex's who's first language wasn't English, and they tried their best, and that was all I asked for. Didn't mean they were any less intelligent. Especially if you're teaching yourself English, it is a LOT harder to spell anything properly.
Ah well! At least NightEnd has people who don't judge him based on his spelling or posts. ♥

lol why bother replying to that fool - its so obvious nightends english isnt the strongest, just let it be
on topic sure the list isn't perfect. but on the whole, minus a few controversial selections, these are all deserving players. when the undeserving/not talented people get weeded out, subsequent seasons will be even better.
just look at how much gsl has improved from the first one as players got sorted into appropriate skill-intervals

This lineup looks really good, I'm impressed.
I think two Koreans in each group is a fair number, given the number who applied and the available spots. In light of recent results, I think we can expect the Korean players to make a strong showing but not necessarily dominate in the way many people (including me) first expected.
Looks like NASL gained a viewer too from the guy who said he would boycott the whole thing unless MC was in it =/
