[NASL] Players (final) - Page 192
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied. Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

I'm definitly not a fanboy of those two players but i want the NASL to be recognized by people outside of this whole scene and after reading the discussions about demuslim and nightend i tend to think that the NASL was not able to handle the applications well enough. Why didn't you just asked Demuslim about his injury in the first place. This does not make any sense to me because YOU want to have the players in your league to be succesfull with it. I cannot judge the whole case of Nightend beeing not picked for the league but i do understand his point in blaiming you for not cummunicating with him about this whole VISA thing. After reading your explantation why you "assumed" that he wont get a visa i was in fact angry. Just putting a big prizemoney on the line is not enough. You actually have to care about the players too.

They really brought over some of the best of the best in Korea for this tournament. Gives a lot of legitimacy to it and with what we've seen in the TSL/FXOpen/GSL WC the best foreigners are able to hold their own no problem. Screw all the haters this league is looking to be SICK. Yeah there are some weak players but you can't honestly expect to get an objective list of the 50 best players in the world for this tournament. The weak will be sifted out and people who deserve to play will be able to qualify. So hyped!

He's one of those guys who just makes people around himself better, and that's clearly what he's been doing. If he starts to focus back on his own game, I'm sure we'll see results. He may not be top 5 in the world right now, But I'm pretty sure he is still Top 50 easy. I'm Happy to see a strong Canadian showing, even without HuK present we got 5 Canadian players in the NASL. Always happy to see us make a strong showing, probably the most Pros per capita of any country except Korea obviously.

It must never happen! xD On March 30 2011 09:17 ChThoniC wrote: Yeah I'm pretty sure he's going to do decently. I'd be very surprised if he finishes in the bottom 3 (that's the group that's not guaranteed to be in the next season, right?) Again, I agree completely. I highly doubt he'll get knocked out easily. He plays fantastically. Super excited to watch him play. ![]()

But if you didn't send in your application by March 11th, you would not receive any contract to sign anyway, right? It's a pity. Back then I was under the impression I wasn't sending in a complete (and valid) application unless I had the video link attached to it. There was no reason for me not to think so either. Also (my excuse), I honestly thought for long that our team had been contacted and was asking for my slightly confused managers to clarify the situation. Once I found out they hadn't been contacted, I had less than 24hrs to borrow a camera and pick up some video editing/encoding skills. Knowing what I know now, I could have easily sent in the application in time without the video link. Anyway, gl with NASL, i hope you succeed. For ESPORTS ![]() It's pretty obvious that having multiple application deadlines was confusing, there should have just been one deadline where everything was due, tough luck sir.

Not doubting that it is difficult winning a 64/128man tournament, but there aren't very many pro players in the RedditOpen, certainly very few when compared to a 64man tournament featuring some of the best of the best. Not trying to diminish DDE's place, he has done well, but in terms of accomplishments alone, Minigun certainly deserved to be in the NASL over some players that managed to get in. What Xeris said about race balance seemed quite fair though, there are quite a few good NA Protoss players and it would be difficult to include everyone (and in terms of Terran players, DDE certainly deserves to be in the NASL over other Terrans that have applied), but I guess you can call me a Minigun fanboy, because I can't help but feel that he got cheated from a spot since he has achieved quite a lot more than some players who are in the NASL, not to mention a lot better as well I didn't say Minigun didn't deserve to be in, because he also does, I'm just saying dde isn't in the same category as some of the others. dde is someone i thought should have been in 100%, there are many more questionable players but dde is not one of them, because even if you say winning all those small tournaments isn't as big of a deal as winning that jtv invitational (arguable), fact is NOBODY has matched dde yet in what he's done, which is just winning. We see pros all the time who never enter tournaments? why? When they do, they get knocked out, why shouldn't they have to be the ones to prove themselves.
