Players such as Jinro, HuK, and Adelscott did not apply for this tour, so don't ask why they aren't on this list. DIMAGA, Kas, and LaLush turned applications in late so they will not appear either. Please take some time to learn who exactly applied.

Please inform yourself about who applied and who didn't.

Well overall the list of players looks okay. I think the guys that really dont seem to deserve spots over some of the guys that didnt get in would have to be:

iNcontrol
EG.Machine
Vibe
DDE
Stalife

INcontrol is at least a big part of the community but the other guys only claim to fame is being okay, or in Machine's case, being the worst player in EG

I think it is time to start complaining about something more important: Why haven't the games started yet?

There is a list of 50 players. There's a website. It has a number with a dollar sign in front of it. I want to see some stuff blown up. I want to see cheese. I want to saw flawless macro. I want to see rage. I want to see epic comebacks. I want to see an army move-commanded into another.

Complain about something awesome: Why am I not watching epic games yet? Let's put a positive spin on this whining.

I want to see stuff explode and I'd like to see stuff explode now... and go Squirtle.

The attitude that the organizers should do more for the players is going the way of the dodo. It is now on the player's head to get all of their shit done, not the leagues. In BW for a league or tournament to have legitimacy you needed the best players so you could corral them. SC2 has toooons of good players all chomping at the bit to participate. It's their job to get invited, not the league's job to convince them to come.

Some people have commented on them not being very professional or unorganized, I think just the opposite. They had very strict and specific guidelines so they could meet their own deadlines which resulted in some people getting thrown under the bus. It sucks for the players, but it's so the league runs without a hitch.

I think it's a pretty cool lineup. As to all the people complaining - if the person deserves to be in the league, they can/will simply get in through qualification games.

Just curious thought, since presumably Huk and Jinro aren't going to prep for GSL, but guys like MC are there, does that mean MC might be taking a break for a korean tournament or two?

Pumped for this tourney but I sure hope the organizer learned some lessons how to interact with community and players. Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to give one or two liner explanations for the player picks (especially considering how much hate already was out there)?! Obvious double standards are unavoidable in an invite tournament if u give so little reason why u guys picked one player and didn't pick the other. If it was only to get in the spotlight again : It worked but it's dangerous cause if there is to much hate their won't be to much sponsors for following seasons regardless of the viewer count....

Mistakes like in Nightend's case are going to happen the first season but an honest apology instead of trying to defend yourself would have solved the case so much better Xeris. :/

Well... I'll tune in and I actually do like most of the picks but you somehow deserved some hate for doing some questionable decisions in your promoting/ interacting with people. I get why people call it unprofessional even if it wasn't worse than any other tourney out there. These decisions just looked naive - that's all.

why why why why didn't they just do a a bunch of huge open tourneys, let the people that earn the right to get there get there. It weeds out the baddies, creates suprises, like Cruncher in the TSL, and no one can debate whether they earned it or not. No one complained that less "named" people got into the TSL because they earned their way in. There a certain players on the list, that could not even get POINTS in the TSL qualifiers and they are "top 50"

To those negatively critizing the nasl...

Does everyone realize how big e-sports can get in the NA if this booms?

It will be huge, it's getting huge as we speak.

It's a list of 50 people. Unfortunately that means not every top player can get it.

They need to make money off it as well. So not only do they invite top players, but people the community favorites.

If there are players that don't belong, then they will be weeded out pretty fast. They may have taken your favorite players spot, but there's always next season, and if they really deserve to be there, then they will probably be able to get through using the qualifier. I'm not sure how well I would have done if they threw me in there now. I can't say I would be confident playing someone like ogsmc in a tournament. Although I would love the chance too (favorite protoss player <3)

Nasl is a business. I want to watch it grow. Am I little disappointed I didn't get in? Ofc..but will there be other chances to get in, other turnys (especially if the NASL takes off) ? Yes.

Starcraft 2 is so close to becoming huge in the NA. Instead of negatively criticizing one of the first businesses to actually try and expand E-sports in the west. Lets give it our unconditional support. Starcraft 2 can be huge, but only if the community supports it.

Buy your ticket, sit back, with some food and coke, and enjoy the show. I know I will.

Oh btw, thanks for the support to me guys, it means a lot.

Best post I've seen in a long time. Particularly the bolded part.

lol, are you kidding? That reasoning is fucking stupid.

I'm not going to offer my "unconditional support" to everyone and everything that attaches the esports banner to their name, fuck that. They're running a business and, like any other business, if they want my money they've got to earn it. So far the NASL has been a disorganized mess at almost every juncture, so I'll be keeping my money in my pocket when the premium service opens up until I see SOMETHING to suggest these guys actually know what they're doing.

What I'd like to see is them taking the valid criticism on board (of which there's plenty) and using it to improve the product they're trying to sell. Unfortunately I see little evidence of this happening as much of the criticism that was sent their way after the disasterous Clash of the Titans showmatch remain as valid as ever.

I'm pretty satisfied with the list. Any time an organization reveals all their processes there is bound to be a bunch of criticism, but I appreciate it. (The exception is TSL but they have been AMAZING so far to avoid heavy criticism.)

If there really are no UK players I think NASL would have been smart to include DeMuslim.

People also need to stop citing the Artosis invite. Yea he hasn't proven enough but he is one of the top 5 players I will be following most closely. I won't miss any of his games.

Yeah I'm pretty sure he's going to do decently. I'd be very surprised if he finishes in the bottom 3 (that's the group that's not guaranteed to be in the next season, right?)

So most people are upset about 4 or so players making the league?

This is proof in of itself that the selection process is very good.

iNcontrol- Picking him for the league is a no brainer. If you honestly believe that iNcontrol doesnt deserve to be in the league than you need to stop trolling and start following e-sports more carefully. iNcontrol is easily in the middle of the pack. Not a bad place to be at all.

Minigun- Very professional. I hope to see you in future tournaments.

NightEnd- There are other tournaments out there. This is a nice learning experience for you.
