So ummm....Bomber's english is amazing. By far the best out of all of them, and I truly hope at least a few Koreans get invites, it'll add a good element to the tournament, and would be fun to watch top foreigners duke it out with pro Koreans.

Love those koreans :D

I hope July gets in on name value alone. Plus he's far more charismatic than most players even with a language barrier.

This is gonna be great.

If it is a wrestling match, then I agree with you.

meh I wouldn't be surprised if NASL reserved 50% of the spots for Koreans. That seems like a good/fair system.

fyi I don't like the NA hate. we aren't known for RTS... we are known for dominating FPS.

I'm really not sure why people are forming an opinion to exclude the Koreans from this event. Look at the TSL3 this is going to be such a massive event, a lot of the hype coming from the big named Koreans that are playing in it.

The argument about them just wanting to play this for money is just really basic. Considering the fact that they are progamers, its what they do. However in the video July even stated that he wants to show his best play to his USA fans. Its been stated many of times that a lot of them are familiar with this site, and know they have a huge following around the world.

The NASL wants the best players they can get, to make exciting matches. Excluding Koreans would make that a bit challenging.

Oh man, watching those videos from Startale got me even more excited for the NASL. I mean actually having Koreans put interest in a North American league is huge. Its only going to drive the west to become better so they can compete with them.

Seriously, you're telling me that July could be coming over to the United States to play in a sc2 tournament? Thats fucking awesome! Just by playing against Koreans in the league will make foreigners better.

Yes Yes Yes.
Some half-hearted competitors who somehow manage to get accepted will surely get baptized.
Even if it is one-sided, I want to see Korean vs Foreigner than other two combinations.

koreans trying to get into this is a good thing, If you're non korean and you can't throw down with them consistently you shouldn't be in the tournament

If a guy like IMMvp or oGsMC played on the North American ladder I bet they'd easily have a 80% win percentage, and I'm sure quite a few koreans could be close to that too. Idra and Huk dominated the NA ladder, and were just competitive on the korean ladder if you look at win % (although Huk still does well on the korean ladder).

What's with the disrespect towards their interviews? They could have done the interview in Korean and had it translated instead, but as we have seen many Koreans in the past, they are interested in reaching out to their foreign fans. We all saw MC trying to speak English during his interviews because he cared. He didn't get more money for that. Yes I know it MAY EVENTUALLY lead to some more money for him... but I don't know why there seems to be a double standard with foreigners and Koreans. Do we think that all the foreigners would be playing as much as they do if there was no money involved? Come on...

I don't know them personally, but what I have seen from interviews... it seems like they are interested in the foreign scene. When Ace went to IEM he said that he was upset that he didn't really have anyone he could talk to because of the language barrier... it seemed like he wanted to make that connection but couldn't. This is where NASL can come in. With translators they could bridge the gap and show the Korean's personalities that we don't often have a chance to see.

One last thing... we need Koreans if we want the foreign scene to keep up. I am not saying the foreign scene is way behind, but if we want to at the least stay close... we will need Koreans playing in foreign tournaments to motivate people to try harder and win. I really feel it is for the best, and while I completely agree that I love seeing the foreign personalities... more so than the Koreans, they are still a very important factor that I look forward to watching... especially in MANY matches against top foreigners... not just a few.

If Europeans are welcomed and Koreans are discriminated against, then the North American Starcraft League should explicitly limit the number of Koreans. Overt discrimination is not as harmful as implicit discrimination, at least Koreans will know where things stand. Perhaps the name should be changed to "Non-Korean" Starcraft League or "Non-Asian" Starcraft League.

If the Koreans play, I have no doubt they will win. It is arguable as to whether or not that is good for the foreigner scene.

Not allowing Koreans in the NASL is like not letting Dominicans play in the MLB, or Brazilians in the English Premier League.

These guys are professional gamers. This is the their job. The play to win tournaments.
