How is stutter-step micro ever "amazing"? It's really easy to do... now marine splits are impressive.

He used the 1 warp in storm to defend a drop the whole game, wich he could have done with normal gatewy units, all other HT was warped previously before advancing or defending, dont see how the nerf would change that.

Isnt this thread supposed to avoid balance discussions? =(

Yea, you see its not the lack of ghosts thats so much the problem. The lack of marauders was. He cant go pure marines, they're too weak.

sC overextends his surviving squad of 5 marines and has them killed by Kyrix's lings and queen, but tons of lings are lost.

sC completes his 3 barracks wall and starts morphing his CC into an orbital at his 3rd

sC pushes out with marines just as Kyrix just puts down his 3rd. The marines kill quite a few drones and lings before being taken out, but not before forcing tons of lings from Kyrix.

A single factory out for sC, researching tank siege.

Kyrix is behind with a very late 3rd compared to sC's 3rd.

Gateway units are incredibly weak though, and it's incredibly inefficient and time consuming to defend drops with pure gateway units. Regardless, enough balance talk.

It's very easy to mess up and you get punished hard for it, very unforgiving with triple digit ping

On LAN latency though it's a lot easier, the point is that his micro was near flawless and he incurred barely any losses at all

Not easy to do THAT well.

I often see even pro level players stop/hold too soon/too late and occasionally miss shots or take extra damage, which sC isn't doing at all.

It seems to be Terminus specific, but yes they use a different noise

sC going double engineering bay, possibly indicating heavy marine.

Kyrix begins to build a baneling nest, and begins to take a 4th base.

sC drops into Kyrix's main, but Kyrix responds slightly slowly.

I agree, they praise stutterstep for no reason. I often feel the same about forcefields.. they yell out "AMAZING FORCEFIELDS" and you just see 20 forcefields each with an 80 % overlap.

Maybe expand some more then? MKP wanted to be on 2 bases for most of the game for some reason.


The thing about expansions is that you need to hold on to them, you can't do that with MKP army composition or if you somehow can then the Protoss is free to take the map & suddenly there isn't a point in taking the expansion.
Personally I feel that it shouldn't have been marines/tank in the first place. I think as I said MKP should have went more marauder heavy and not get any tanks. From there when he gets his third base he can add on ghosts as well and some vikings for the collouses. Some marines doesn't hurt for the zealots and dps but not all marines, that's suicide in mid-late game against protoss.
