I shall follow them to the Up and Down matches. But I'm rooting for July/Kyrix or Jinro/Nada win.

I dont get why everyone is acting like:
- New Player X beats famous player Y, now the championship is free for Famous player Z. Shouldnt we be thinking "maybe player X has a shot at the championship?"
Any player that can knock out MKP, mvp, Nestea, FD and others have at least a half decent shot at ther title. That looks to me like it's the most logical conclusion, unless everyone believes that FD, Nestea and MKP are no longer Code S material. Everyone knew there was some good player that didnt have the chance to qualify to Code S at the start that deserved to be there like Byun, TOP and sC, however they deserve only to be on code S but not to go further than Ro32 ?
Also rooting for: 1. MC, 2. Nada/Chinro, 3. Hong

Why is no one mentioning July in the top players? lol I'm not sure how the brackets are, but a July + jinro/nada/mc finals would be insane.

Honestly FD should have gone mutas, but it's easy to say that now. Mutas are harass where you don't throw the units away, and ur almost guaranteed to need a spire against protoss anyways. His mutas vs rainbow in GSL1 on LT were ridiculous.

i'm 100% sure this results are because of changing maps and also ppl increasing skill alot

Too inconsistent. His 4-1 loss to Bomber in the IMS last week seems to demonstrate a weak ZvT against players who know his style. (Or maybe he's saving strats for Clide, but let's leave the conspiracy out of this) And, don't forget, he lost miserably to MC during group A. We simply haven't had a real demonstration of him besting an player of similar skill in a macro game. I'm not saying he's bad, only that we haven't seen enough of him against top players to know that he's good; what we have seen is so inconsistent as to be completely inconclusive.

How many terrans, zergs and toss for 16ro? (I think its 4z, 4p, 8t but not really sure)

can everyone just calm the f down.
its a best of one.
look up all these guys' ladder profile. They all have tons of losses too. Just because they GENERALLY perform better in tournaments does not mean they always will.
On a statistical level this is absolutely fine.

stars are aligning for Tester's GSL victory. you heard here first

I totally agree with you. I think people are sleeping on Tester. The guy has all the things it takes to be a champion. He has the pedigree (Broodwar Pro/oGs,) sound mechanics and, at least from what I've seen, he is a creative player. His biggest obstacle will be whoever wins the Jinro/MC match but he has a good shot.

perhaps with a lot of the big names falling in the group stages, gom will just start off with a bo3 in the round of 32? I think its cool that new players are getting a chance to advance far, but every single big name I follow is going to up and down matches
