If someone can pull of a rush using only marines or void rays, etc and win the game in under 6 minutes then I'm not sure why playersl ike that are being insulted so much.
Because after 19 SCV rushes and 591 fourgates it gets fucking boring.
People (and by people I mean trolls and idiots) should really stop making the assumption that Macro means "boring 20 minute buildup to 1 minute fight game": That is not the godamn case. The reason SC1 is a prove of skill somewhat more than SC2 is at the moment is because in SC1 the pro's have huge macro AND micro skills. They produce out of shitloads of buildings, have 9 bases and are constantly fighting at minimum of 2 locations.
Sc2 has not evolved far enough for this skill level to be achieved, but there are some rare games where this has happend. I saw a IdrA ZvZ where the fight for the middle seriously lasted for 8 minutes. Both Z had 6 bases and were spewing out units by the huge amounts available out of 5 hatcheries with larve (the sixth was island expand).
TLDR: Macro means a great economy and unit producing capacity, aswell as the strategy to USE THESE RESOURCES WELL meaning: Fighting, alot of godamn preasure, drops and fighting.
Macro is NOT boring ass buildup games where 1 fight happens and then one side won; That is just players not having evolved beyond the need of a basic deathball army.
what you want is more sc1 players basically... because only a few ever played sc1... the rest get an easy mode interface and still can't build up an army equal to the people who click every building to make units...

being warned is better than being fired from my real life job.............I only made the OP cause we were half way into the first match and no one else was going to make it, so instead of having 20 half assed GSTL day3 thread I volunteered. Should have just let the trolls make 40 terribad threads in hindsight.

1 terribad thread is just as bad. I wouldnt have responded to this but your passive-aggression for no reason (you must have known you would get flamed at) kinda set me off

Then don't make the thread. If you can't devote to it, then you shouldn't do it. I understand you wanted to just put up a thread because no one else would, but I think a better idea would have been to contact a mod or something. Im sure they could deal with it or find somebody
I don't see why you guys are so hard on the guy. It was 20 minutes into the tournament and no one bothered to stand up and make a thread. Usually I see these LR threads being posted half a hour or a hour ahead of time.
Sure it was updated half way and it was a bit amateurish - but he learned his lesson. No need to bash him further.

I really don't think this is the case. We have seen a lot of SC1 pros/semi-pros come into the scene (July, Rainbow, Boxer, Nada, etc) and fail to get anywhere. The game design seems to be based on the one big battle thing unfortunately....
Anyway on-topic: There's no stopping IM - most of their players seem solid and with two GSL winners in the team... it's only going to get better for them.
Every day I'm watching IM players I'm more and more impressed how could this team is at the whole. Don't get it, why they were doing so bad at Zotac Team Invitational.
Anyways, where can I contact a Mod or someone for TLPD? I realised that some recent games from yesterday (MC vs Mvp) are not noted but the games from today are there already.

You can report errors any time at the TLPD Feedback Thread and we'll get to them. What games are missing right now?

Those four are ALL in Code S, so I don't know what you mean by them getting nowhere. They're all among top SC2 players. And the past two GSL Champions were both SC1 progamers as well, although considerably less successful than the four you mentioned. In fact, Nestea and Fruitdealer played pro BW to some extent too. That's literally every GSL champ.

Just checked and now its fully completed. Nice work btw.
Also stop dissing the OP starter please. Don't get why everything must be perfect all the time and it's better than nothing. I'm really sure a lot of poeple would cry if there wouldn't be a thread like this.
@Makrogamediskussion: I'm not sure. At the moment it seems a bit like Starcraft 2 is an "one fight and all ist over"-game. But than we have games like Clide vs Ace from today with drop/warp/harassaction all over the map the whole game long. And this is, what makes me hoping for better times. There are three big factors which will decide about it: The skill of the players (that for sure will increase in the future so I don't worry as much about it), the maps (there are already sign for a good way in the future) and finally add ons and game changes (maybe the game will be more strategedly with some changes in the future, I really hope so).

'Trolls make 40 terribad threads'? wat
No, this thread was just bad, someone who could make a good thread didn't because someone had already made a bad one, this one.
