On a side note, is there any reason players can't adjust their settings and warm up while their team is still playing?
Each player has different settings that they like to use, and they do not choose which player until after the game beforehand has been decided so unfortunately this is something we will just have to deal with for now

These matches take forever. They should have the player selected and warming up while their teammate is playing.

You cant decide beforehand who you are gonna field. You don't know who the next opponent will be. The team might be playing a protoss, but the guy playing wins and gets knocked out by a zerg and suddenly they want to send someone else in.

There is no reason they can't choose beforehand on which player should face the winner. They have four booths but they would rather waste our time.

Takes away some of the suspense from the GSTL. I actually enjoy discussing with my mates on vent who should be brought in next and reasons why, as well as guessing when the teams will choose to play their aces.

Because they probably discuss who they will send out next after their player loses? It's not like they are going to decide immediately who they will be sending out next.

Yeah it's exciting to wait and see who they are bringing out next imo. Not really wasting our time, think you are just being a bit negative.

Well the camera operator does not have to show us who is warming up.

I realize for you guys in the US this could be annoying as you more than likely have been staying up late to solely watch the games. But for me like I said its quite enjoyable and it also gives time to discuss the previous match-up.

You don't... not if your player wins three matches and looses his fourth. Should you be sending in a new player every time the opponent changes to set up his settings? Also I am pretty sure the team studies the style of the opponent and chooses the next player after having seen his whole style of play. What you suggest would just lead to "Oh its a P, then we send a T".

Watching GSTL or going to the nearest cafe where 1 cup of coffee costs almost 5 dollars. Difficult choise.

It's not just us though. If both teams had a player warming up at the same time in anticipation of a loss, then each would be giving the opposing coach valuable information about who they might pick under certain circumstances (ie give them a look into the coach's head).
Besides, you might see something in the opposing player's play, which might change your mind about who to send.

I also want to know who won the second match, but I can't since I don't have time right now to go through the thread.
