I know Stork once knocked Idra out of WCG with proxy gates (lulzy game where Stork tops out at 90-120 APM against like 300 for Idra). I dunno man... I do think it's sad about the map pools, though. I wish MLG would just randomly set them or something, because everyone just busts out the shittiest map for their opponent. I don't blame them at all but it bugs me that you can just be like "lol Scrap Station" if you are Zerg, or "lol Kulas" if you are terran, or "lol delta quadrant" against zerg, and so on. It's bad for the fans because we tend to only see good games in the first game and then unfortunate stuff after that.+

Serious tournament -> playing against the best player there -> being 1-1 -> map is delta with even closest positions -> take advantage of it! Everything else would have been absolutely stupid. If there is something to blame it is either Idra going for hatch first on delta or the size of the map. Select did everything 100% right here!! Just as Naz did before. Why should people let Idra go into macro mode if they dont have to??? Do you think they are there to provide you with 30 minute games? NO. They want to win this whole thing! I dunno why people complain, I personally find cheese sometimes really interesting to watch, it makes some intense games. Select played better over the whole Bo3 imo(he could've won g2 without that one faildrop), but fanboys will always find something to complain.

Steppes of war, Cliff on the Lost Temple, Delta Quadrant, these maps have got to go/get edited in Lost Temples sake. I think if Idra played on 3 balanced maps instead of 2 anti zerg map 1 balanced/maybe slightly favouring zerg maps he would of won. Blah. I'm ok with that if they take out scrap station and other maps like this, tyvm. People seem to think balanced maps are zerg favored maps

Trying to push up into Idra's base without stim would've been suicide so I don't really see how Select could have closed that game or why Idra gg'd. if he tries to expo and get to muta the game takes one of two paths: select goes heavy units and rolls him before he can tech up or select expands before him and explodes with mules. I think idra was acutely aware of this and didn't want to play a long match he knew was a losing effort.

I'd be pissed too. So tired of everything being "cheese". A guy makes a void ray 15 mins into a game "OMG OGM CHEESE". Blink stalkers were counterable. He proved that in g2 of that series. He was silly and went roaches, and couldnt repel the stalkers with the ledge abuse (which by the way was very smart). Making stalkers-apparently cheese getting blink- apparently cheese stargate- cheese early zealot push with a slight proxy-cheese forcefield abuse-cheese dt's- cheese apparently protoss are only allowed to go robo, and then listen to qq about how stalker/collosus ball is op. Idra got outplayed. Period. If you lose to a proxy rax, its your fault for fast expoing and not figuring it out.

Only a few good games and the rest is cheese or all in that could be done by plat level players. Rubbish. I want you to look back at the early GSL2 games and count the games that went over 10 minutes. There were some fast games and a good amount of cheese and all ins. This is the state of the game, not just the North American servers, also many of these players are playing in Korea and succeeding.
