Then don't attack the Planetary Fortress. Nevermind that Fenix was 3/1 and Kiwi was 0/0/0. What? I'm talking about when Fenix was 1/1 and Kiwi was 0/0. Besides, Infantry upgrades don't improve the upgrades on a Planetary Fortress. It's just sick how good they are. You'd need around 10~ Cannons to have the same lifespan of a Planetary Fortress, which would cost 1500 minerals compared to the 150/150 of the Planetary Fortress. They're just a boring thing and totally destroy any game flow. Back and forth games are fun, that game was going to be back and forth - and then the Planetary Fortress went up and that was game over. If you can't attack an expansion, that's ridiculous. | ||

It's not imbalanced at all, since you're spending every last mineral with all your SCV's at that base repairing it, you're basically just saying, oh, this was your third base? Without talking about balance, planetary fortresses just make the game slow to a crawl. Terran makes tiny drops that kill one or two critical buildings over and over while just sitting in one position with no risk of counterattack. Going to bring in a HoN analogy here, so bear with me. In HoN Deadwood was rarely seen in competitive play, but his initiation ability was still changed because he had what the developers called a no-risk initiation, and was changed to create risk when deadwood initiated. It wasn't about being OP or UP, it was about risk in the game. I think the same thing can be applied to PF camping. The terran faces no risk while still being able to do drops. Perhaps if the developers added some sort of risk/reward factor to a PF OTHER than oh you lose a mule, we would see more exciting gameplay. (Note, not saying PFs are OP or UP or anything in between, just boring) GGs from both sides, kiwi got caught out of position a few times, and was outmaneuvered elsewhere. | ||

Well, Fenix was like 3 mining bases ahead of Kiwi so he could have afforded it fine. 1.5 basing Toss with no upgrades loses to 4 basing terran with 3/1, obvious imbalance. | ||

He shouldn't have attacked it over and over. So once T was a PF expansion up it can't be broken unless you have a massive advantage? Reminds me of War3 and SK|ToD's disgusting tower defense. | ||
