Not necceserily. Some of the matches in the tourney have been awesome once it got to the later stages of the game. I really think with an updated mappool things could be 10x better with many more macro-games.

So, who do you think Cool practiced that 6 pool with?

Oh, I guess he finally find a game that suits his looks :D

i think terran do the right thing in today matches - aggressive early timing push is probably the best way to deal with protoss, end game protoss is very (very) tough to handle.
today is a good day not because terrans win but is because Cool made it!!:D gogo Cool!!!!

Finally terrans abusing Protoss in their weakest position which is before warpgate is done, the best toss can have is 1 zealot 1 stalker 1 sentry. While terran can come with nearly double the army food of toss in that time Protos needs warpgate buff to cut it down back to 60s. Since protoss has no defense and close to 0 production until warpgate gets done.

Let's hope and pray Cool will deal his fruits again tommorow and reach the grand finale saturday.

Wow, today's games were short. Usually, when I wake up, I can catch the last of 4 matches, maybe a bit more. Today, all I get is the interview after the last match

I hope Cool win the whole thing. We are seriously in need of new map though. GSL should push for it because longer games = more entertainment value.

I dunno if this is the place to bring it up but I _completely_ agree with superdanielman. The prize money should've been much, much, much less and they should have many more tournaments, creating long term support for the game - this is just blowing their wad. Fairly sure Blizzard chipped in quite a bit of that 85k didn't they? How much longer will that go on for.

Medivac healing or dropping should be an upgrade.
Stimpack is more of a 200/200 upgrade than Zealot charge is.
50/50 concussive is silly cheap.

Yea but it will make 4G against Z to powerfull so its not good idea.

if u buff warpgate, then zerg will be completely wiped out against p.
these all in scv's with bunkers/mass repair is not at all really all ins thanks to mules.
they should implement a cap/repair system to not have mass repair give god mode power. 3 scv repair shouldn't = 3x repair power....

All this "Protoss > Terran lategame" talk seems bullocks to me. I've yet to see a single game where Protoss crushes Terran lategame, all the games that have gone past midgame have been down to the wire, no one side looked to have any sort of over bearing advantage, but early game however...

Watch Tester in the RO16

bout time they change the unit description because its simply inaccurate & misleading
they put marine damage as 6 in unit description but its more like 30 per second with stim
same with maurauders more like 50 damage considering both units got no cooldown compared to all protoss ground

Maps are really bad right now. Right now they encourage rush/all-ins and that makes for boring games to watch as someone either insta-wins or one player ends up crippled and loses in the next few minutes.

3 rax into medvacs who cant do this , no expo nothing else
He has superior micro skills and suprise gets an easy win
what rly good did he do apart massing mmm?
On he other hand u expect from toss player to have everything perfect to have a chance ,
Tester apm is in 300+ btw its ridiculus high cant get anyhigher and cant beat a simple mmm ball.
If this isnt bs i dont know what it is ITR was the better player in BW. No, he wasnt. What?? You are kidding me. Who the hell even knows about Tester in BW??? Most people know ITR. Tester just became a big fish in a small pond while all the real pro haven't started SC2 yet. As a follower of the professional SC scene since 2003, I can safely say that Rainbow was a much better player than Tester. +1 on this but i've followed it since 2000-2001 and Rainbow was on SKT1's A-team until sometime in 2008 when he got demoted to online practice partner for sneaking out to watch a Beyoncé concert (LOL) Not going to argue much. If you think he was better ok, but I don't. He was the bigger name, but not the better player. I think we all know that players in recent years are much better than players from the past. And the fact that Tester lasted for so long speaks a lot. It's not like the old pros lost their skill. It's just that everybody else got so much better. A big part of everyone getting better was that the knowledge pool of BW strategy that everyone drew upon was constantly getting bigger. This is a new game and everyone starts at zero again. And I don't think there's any doubt that Rainbow showed much more flair as a player than Tester. That's true. And maybe that would make him a better player than Tester at SC2. I'm not arguing his loss here. But if Tester in his prime played ITR in his prime at BW Tester would win (imo). That's all I'm saying.

It's crunch time and players see REAL money to be made. The difference between Ro8($3,400) and Ro4($8,600 for 3rd-4th, 2nd $25,700 and 1st $85,000) is huge. I would not be surprised if we see the cheesiest builds from here on out. Each race is going to be exploited to it's fullest capacity in the semi's and finals. Whatever has the highest percentage of winning is going to be used.
You play to win the game!
