I've played various many different RTS games for more than 10 years at a decent or better than decent level, I feel qualified to understand what I am watching, if I just wanted to know what was happening the the observer wouldn't need a mic, just keep the production tab open and cycle through the players units continuously. I want to be entertained, I want to feel a connection: why do I play SC2? because its fun. Yes the competition matters, and the technical details matter, but if people aren't enjoying it, having fun, then its pointless, and that was the biggest factor for me, the whole event, not just the games and the strategies, was fun (and DeMuslim made a legendary recovery, not just in the 2nd grand final game, but coming back after you get 2-0'd in the first match up is really tough).

Haha I agree with you on that, I know it was a lot of entertainment, It was quite serious at start but the later we went the more fun/entertaining it got ![]() ![]()

That being said, I obviously appreciate your want to understand the game better (as in, everything except for good proxy locations), but please hurry up because we definitely need more laid back casters who don't get flustered by every gas steal. @Rotterdam: While your reasons behind this are perfectly valid, it was just the way you said it in the stream. Gave (at least) me the feeling that you didn't want to be there for a moment and took the entertainment value way down for some minutes, just because of how you said it. May also be a misunderstanding but as i don't know you in any (personal) way, i cannot "read" your tone or intention.

Can't find any replays on the ESL site. edit: Nvm, seems final isn't up anywhere atm ![]() Replays: http://www.esl.eu/eu/sc2/1on1/homestorycup/#/eu/sc2/1on1/homestorycup/rankings/ Just klick on the VS Button and select the replays on the next page. Some Replays still missing, but i'm sure they will be uploaded.

A good caster should not only able to tell you why something works, cause the people who watch the stream are not idiots, they can see what is happening , but a good caster should be able to explain _why_ a strategy didnt work, even though that doesnt mean the strat is bad by any means, it just ment player A did something better than player B, but that doesnt mean a certain strat is bad or whatsover, and tbh I think this is important to know and I feel this is the kind of stuff you only learn by playing. Right now im at 1400~ Diamond ladder but I still feel my game is full of holes, and who am I to tell White ra shouldnt do this, or Naniwa shouldnt do that etc while they have a damn good reason to do what their doing ![]() ![]() Nevertheless I had a sick amount of fun today and I'm willing to continue this, combined with playing alot myself, cause its a lot of fun to joke around etc and we shouldnt take eachtoher more serious than it actually is, but now and then we should provide _valuable _ information as well, and then I don't mean speaking from the observer point of view but from actually playing these guys, cause thats the only way your gonna sound really convincing, not just to the audiance but to yourself as well ![]() ![]() while i agree with you completely, you will also learn a lot from just casting a ton of pro games. at ~1400 diamond, you're already above most of the casters out there and from what i could hear yesterday, you definitely have the fundamentals down. so maybe a healthly balance between playing and casting will benefit you more then just straightup laddering. anyways great job yesterday and i look forward to seeing more!

Best event in sc2 history, reason being it was so relaxed and fun, and you got to see what was happening in the house at all times. Imagine having Dimaga there as well, that would be so sick.
