After seeing so many threads dedicated to new maps on the Team Liquid forums we thought it was time iCCupTV threw their hat into the ring and tried to help promote some of these awesome new maps. I am happy to announce iCCupTV’s Map Series iCCupTV on uStream! Next cast is April 5th at 8PM ESTPublic IMS KOTHTuesday April 19th at 5 PM ESTThe EventiCCup TV has contacted some of the best map makers out there and is looking to host their creations in a series of show matches featuring top players. Once a week we will take three new maps from our very own mapmaking team and have high ITC and ITL level players be the first to spill blood on the shiny new terrain. Each week will have a king of the hill style event, so make sure and don't miss this! NEW!: Now the IMS will be open to the public every other week for a Public KOTH!!! We will pull players out of our channel on the NA SCII server (channel name "iCcup". We will be looking for high diamond and masters league players for this. Just join the channel and join in! The maps will be rotated during the event so all maps are played. The order they are posted in the thread might not always be the order they are played.

Be sure to check all their threads for information on some of the best maps the galaxy editor has ever spit out. Nice maps guys! The designs are solid and creative, should be fun to play on. These maps are far above the standard for current melee maps. Looking forward to seeing the games!
I've got some small feedback on the maps-
+ Show Spoiler +I feel like on River Point the expansions are really far apart, but the map design looks really really good. Maybe move the main's choke a bit closer to the main? Maybe consider connecting the HY's high-ground to the 4th's high-ground? Also, the bright green light was kinda annoying  On Triforce, I noticed a couple siege tanks can dominate the middle. Rush distances seem too short, and expansions are too limited. Possible enlarge the entire map? For example, if you want a third, you take the HY that is not inbetween you and your opponent. If your opponent wants a third too, I can't see both players staying on their own side of the center to defend their respective HY expos. Expanding to the other main puts your main and natural at too much of a risk I think. I also feel like the center Xel'Naga shouldn't be there, because it sees too much of the center. On Ground Xero, I like the layout of the expansions. Sometimes I wish the center Xel'Naga/Destro. rocks should just be destro. rocks because you can see all the flank routes with the 3 towers. Devotion and Ground Xero had unplayable lag  my computer is the worst lol

Please post any and all things you liked/disked about the maps int he map feedback thread if u can! This is the type of stuff the map makers need to help balance these maps and learn new things !

I see weeks 1-3 are posted up on this thread and week 4 was posted on another thread, but will this be the main thread for future IMS weekly competitions?
And will there be VoDs of these games posted anywhere? I only saw the first two matches and I really want to see them all. :D

Yay more IMS! This is probably my favorite iCCup event, if only I spent as much time playing these maps as I want, let alone play sc2 at all
As a tip for the show, I think you guys should encourage the players to try to abuse terrain more often, maybe take a couple minutes to talk to the players in lobby chat about specific features that make the map interesting. I know it's kind of leading the witness, but the point of the series is to highlight the maps along with high level play, no?

While I'm tempted to agree, I can't straight up ask the players to drastically change their playstyle. Good players have in the past adapted to the new terrain very well, so it's not completely necessary to ask them to anyway.

I havn't watched too many of these but the last game on Braxis Orbital (Bad vs Liz) was very refreshing. Matchpoint was my favorite BW map (you can't tell me that wasn't the inspiration for BO ) and I can see how the same strategies could be used here. BO seems to have much more potential for epic games than say metalopolis.
I really enjoyed the game, and it was nice to see a match that wasn't cheese OR macro macro macro and then decide the game with one big push. Liz's style seemed amplified by the new map.
