You want a ZvZ for the finals? Really? :|
Well if it's TvT, Blizzard may need to hotfix the int overflow for the game timer ZvZ may be ugly, but at least it's quick.
TvT is long and ugly.
TvT is by far the most interesting mirror matchup imo. It was some time since it moved away from only viking/tank.
You haven't seen today's games I take it? )
Seeing those tanks sieged few pixels from each other's range and tons of marauder viking and medivac sure seemd not stale at all.
Check out TLO vs BratOK from a few days ago.
Also there are a lot of players favoring marauders and banshees now compared to the earlier pure tank/viking. This was seen in todays games. Tank battles using sight range advantage can be interesting too. It is also very map dependent. On steppes of war there are some very nice positions for tanks so they will obviously be used more there than on other maps.

Personally I'm fine with this. Also it gives his opponents the advantage of knowing what race he will play as opposed to if he goes random.
It probably depends on the specific tournament rules whether race switching is allowed at all, but I would think he had to announce it beforehand. Although, Day9's comment imo seemed like speculation.

Not quite sure why he would need to. Morrow is strong at TvT's but TLO has already won all his games as Terran and Morrow has already lost a TvT (To Tarson i think) so.....

A quarterfinals with 8 of the worlds top SC2 pro players, in 4 ZvT matches, BO3/5?
If zerg AT LEAST wrecks shit equal to terran than everybody better shut the fuck up. Other than a few tweaks here and there that I'm sure Blizzard can manage fine on their own without a million zerg players a day bitching and threatening to switch races.
You guys make me ashamed to be a zerg player with all the pissing and moaning. People like Dimaga and IdrA have earned the right to discuss balance, and today they kicked ass regardless.

Tlo really has guts. as the rest of the zergs are fleeing to terran and other races hes ready to stand by his imbalance claim and win vs any of the 4 other terrans in zvt. cant imagine what kind of monstrous zerg play hes developed from playing madfrog.
pretty much after every game with strong zergs we've seen him radically change his zvt, with alot of influence from losses to sen. cant wait to see if TLO will use that 12 hatch build we've seen lately. or if his infestor ling fast hive has moved on to something more malicious. heck he might even go low econ or do some obnoxious burrow harass and just outmultitask his opponents to death

very true
Demuslim never, ever acknowledges his opponent for beating him. It's always him not playing to his potential. That's why I don't like the guy at all.
might be true, but take a closer look at idra, acting like a 12year old every time he gets beat.
but still people worshiping him ... I guess that just part of the whole internet culture.

idra and dimaga both believe that tvz is inbalanced. so no I dont think people will shut up.

I have not said anything about balance, all I'm saying is that the results of this tournament won't shut people up no matter how much you want it to. That is just the reality of the situation.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing some high-level ZvZ play in this tournament. I've read some about how that matchup is supposed to be played but somehow I really can't figure it out. Seems like a really big coin-toss for me personally. Would love to see some real pro's handling it to learn something about it

Lol, so because a player like IdrA practicing twelve hours a day in a korean pro team can play Zerg better than others who could probably be considered semi-casual compared to him, that means there's no problem with ZvT?
Give us a break, IdrA is just a far better player who has had much more training time than most challengers.

If you look back at the last tournaments Morrow have played, he's been tearing it up TvT. The reason he lost against Tarson (according to Morrow himself) was that he had never seen that opening before and it countered his own very well. I don't believe he will make that same mistakes again. Sure TLO could win TvT against him, but I still think it's a wise decision to play zerg for him.

Couple of things. First of all, being great at a game, while it gives you some merit to discuss things because you understand the game better, doesn't mean you're good at talking about balance and being unbiased about it. In fact, often times with American players, the opposite is true.
Second, the performance of IdrA/Dimaga in this tournament aren't indicative of the state of balance. It's not like all the players at this tournament are on the same level or even near it. There's a clear skill distinctions among the players in this tournament. Today's and yesterday's games were proof enough of that.

if tlo wins the finals in zvt then ppl wont shuttup either. no matter how many times he gets interviewed abt it.
by the same measure if idra or another zerg loses the finals in a zvz, theres a good chance hes gonna say the matchup is shit and it was all baneling luck.
Either way theres gonna be complaining if a zerg gets to the finals.
